ups chaps my ....

so irked right now. almost didn't recieve my ups shipment today. its bad enough they ring and run. but to drop off a package on the wrong street mckay instead of francis.. they even dropped it off at the wrong house number example: 10 vrs 3 like really i know you drive around all day dropping off packages and are tired at the end of the day. but come on teh adress is clearly marked on the label.. you have to scannsaid address. i know my piddly 200 product is peanuts to you cause its not yours but what if it was a 4,000 dollar skimmer (i wish but this is a rant so i can dream).

ive always disliked ups. but i have told off a supervisor here incity and at head office. as well as contacted my vendor i purchased from to demand a shipping refund as it was not thier fault but should know the issue.

so thats my rant fro the year.. be warned ups may ship your products to anyone other than you stay on top of your tracking.

:2gunfire: UPS :laluot_14:

UPS stands for UNBELEIVABLLY PATHETIC SERVICE!!!

jtbadco 04-27-2012 02:46 AM

I feel your pain.

I ordered some really nice corals from Fragit Dan in Nanaimo the week before Easter.

UPS loses the package on Wednesday before good friday and finds it later that nite sitting in a truck in Richmond. They say it's too late to retrieve and the truck wont be picked up til next Monday, when they will deliver my package?!?!?!

Of course it gets there and everything is dead, no brainer.
Dan is good enough to take responsibility even though it was clearly not his fault, and he sends out another package full of more nice corals.

And they lose it again!!!!

This time I get it a day late and 70% is toast this time.

Aaaaauugh!!!

And in case you are wondering they did not cover any of it because the package was eventually delivered.

UPS sucks big time!!! From now only I only ship FedEx or by air.

this is exactly it i hope the vendor gets a refund its just plain lazyness on thier part if they had knocked on the door they would have found it was the wrong address. they evensent me an email saying they delivered it to another completely different address. than the one they actually delivered it to which stillwasnt my address and post left at front door... i want to order some controller equiptment but now im afraid.

BlueWorldAquatic 04-27-2012 03:22 AM

actually UPS isn's supposed to leave a parcel without a signed consent.

They left a $2500 camera lense outside my house, and I filed a complaint, they actually were going to refund all shipping costs.

I would NEVER use UPS to ship livestock, that just not reliable enough, purolator is bad too.

FedEx is the best of the worst

The Grizz 04-27-2012 03:26 AM

Did anyone see the security camera video of the UPS driver throwing a computer flat screen monitor OVER a fence!! Must be there new delivery method.

actually i know a driver for ups and he said thier new policy is ring and run to save time . so unless you request signature they wont do it just leave package and run they dont care about service just your money

UPS is awefull
My first online order with BRS was left at my door. It was for over $450 and it was sitting on my doorstep, in plain view of the street, when I got home.
I contacted their supervisor and they told me it's up to the driver's descretion ie; they've not yet lost a shipment in the neighbourhood from theft.
Needless to say I was peeved.

lastlight 04-27-2012 04:21 AM

I was following a shipment online and suddenly it showed that it had been delivered. Brs package worth $700 so I start scouring the condo complex. I found it eventually on the back porch of a vacant unit near mine. I was beyond choked. Their trademark is the ring and run.

lockrookie 04-27-2012 04:22 AM

who knows what thier deal is all i know is if the option is there i may choose other methods from now on. my next order next month i dont want to lose.

gregzz4 04-27-2012 09:03 AM

It's unfortunate when the shipper uses them
I wished my last shipment had the option of USPS
I received my package today from ETC Supply for a new Ranco.
It cost me $45ish for the brokerage etc.

troni 04-27-2012 04:08 PM

sames stories. by the sounds of it im lucky. in my complex you drive in at garage level so you have to get out and walk around to the front. so when i bought my leds $400 worth, i wasnt home at the time of delivery and the tracker showed delivered so i randomly checked out the fromt door and surprise it was sitting there.

christyf5 04-27-2012 04:14 PM

I won't buy from any shipper who only uses UPS. I always try to do USPS (non-fish stuff). For livestock, I've had decent luck with purolator (except for one time when I ripped the customer service line a new one and got my package before the long weekend). UPS is horrible but the contractor that works for UPS here is even worse.

mark 04-27-2012 06:06 PM

loved it when they left my test kits at the front door without ringing at -30.

Often will get neighbours stuff at my door from UPS, never yet from another company.

won't start ranting about their brokerage fees.

Madmak 04-27-2012 08:55 PM

They are due at my house today, a repaired Apex unit. Let's see how that goes.....

I do have a good UPS guy though, that likely makes a big difference.

intarsiabox 04-28-2012 02:01 AM

I had a package from Costco that was to be delivered to my house. Got home nothing was there but an email from Costco said the package was delivered. Called UPS, they siad they left it with a "neighbor", the address was 15 blocks away. Stopped by, they never received anything but gave me a different address because UPS always screws up their address and delivers it to this one. No luck at the next house either. Called UPS back and they talked to the driver, he actually had no idea were he delivered it to and just gave the other address because he made a delivery there and may have accidently left it there. My package was 95 lbs and 8' long, it doesn't easily get dropped with another order. Costco sent me another and UPS left it on my driveway, amazed it was still there as my street has about 15 active house builds going on with lots of random contractors and traffic. My other experiences with UPS aren't much better, this why I would never actually pay for UPS to ship me anything, they are horrible!

WindowMaker 04-28-2012 02:05 AM

You think thats bad? Last time I bought a shotgun, Canada Post left it sitting in my garden...

subman 04-28-2012 02:29 AM

The last package ups "delivered" They said my address doesn't exist...even though they delivered to my house two days before. I informed them I needed it asap they told me they would hold it at the sorting station. When I got there they had no idea what I was doing there...just as my wife phoned to tell me they just delivered it.

lockrookie 04-28-2012 02:54 AM

it amazes me that these companies can still get buisiness

Mike-fish 04-28-2012 03:31 AM

they were going to leave my bio cube on the driveway. both my brs orders have been left just dropped over the fence one it froze -20

jorjef 04-28-2012 04:14 AM

I have used UPS, Fedex and Purolater after a couple of similar experiences of incompetent delivery drivers I started having every tagged hold for pickup and watch tracking and go pick it up when it arrives. It has worked very well for me and no sitting around all day waiting for them to show up.. Usually they are pretty good at getting it to the right city after that it all goes for ****.

James(Western Canada) 04-28-2012 09:11 PM
