FS-9" Naso tang-St Albert

I have a very fat healthy naso for sale, very mild mannered, I just have too many tangs in my tank. Fish eats everything from pellets to flakes to frozen. I'd like to see it go to a large tank, I will be leaving for Medicine Hat for work tomorrow and going as far as Calgary, so could possibly drop off along the way. Asking $150 OBO. This picture was taken this morning. PM if interested, thanks,
Bob

That would sorta be bad for my plan to add no new fish for a year and let the ich fizzle out! I am thinking about it but I'm wondering how he'd mess the dynamic up. He's as big or bigger than my maculiceps. Nasos have big knives too!

Sorry for the hijack but I don't think the timing is good. I leave for holidays in a few days and I don't want to be gone after adding a new fish. Gorgeous fish but not the right time for me.

IME naso's are fairly peaceful, my naso didn't bother any of my other tangs or other fish when I added him. Also have a bit of ich in my tank ATM but my naso is one of the ones that doesn't have a spot on him. Also I find naso's will eat hair algae and bubble algae

You could put some fries with that big boy and some "good old fish and chips"

gregzz4 04-23-2012 01:17 AM

I'll have to back up Brett's decision
Adding that gorgeous fish, after a trip, to a tank with ich is not a great idea. Maybe if it was only $15 and not $150

Good luck with the sale Cod !! Worth every penny

I want him but I think my tank is too small. Good luck with the sale, he's a beauty!

How big is your tank.
A 180 is usually fine for a naso but longer than 6' is better of course

Bob I've been looking for a new addition to my 10G let me know if this fish will work.

BlueTang<3 04-23-2012 12:35 PM

I think bob forgot to mention that it is 9" think not long.

The Codfather 04-23-2012 01:41 PM

Ya, make no mistake, I'm sure this guy could take down small children...

I think it would only work out if you bought two this size and stacked them.

It is an 180 but with his size I wonder if it would be enough?

Off to a 400.

tim the toolman 04-28-2012 05:10 PM

Glad to hear it. Beautiful fish. I've got one in my 180 that's getting big too but I think he will be my excuse to upgrade to a 300
