WTB: Reef light for a 20" cube
Im looking for a reef light that will work on a 20" cube tank thats 30" deep
LEDs or T5s as long as its cheapish and local |

Little oversized for that 20" but if its hanging it wouldn't be that much of an issue. |
you could probably do a DIY build from modularled.ca for pretty cheap on a tank that size. I would guess less then $200 depending on what your looking for

lol grizz.... Ive tossed it around.... I was more looking for either a srew in socket type led pendulem or a T5 so i didnt have to do anything :)
this is for a lion and a crab..... maybe a kenya or 20 and some mushrooms.... just want it to live :) |
low light corals then. you could build a light cheap or even do a couple of panorama pro modules for around the same price. my money is on DIY for this one. or a t5 fixture too. but led is the winner in my books

I purchased two dimmable drivers, 2 reostats(dimmers), 14 x 3W LED, optics, heatsink, hanging kit and wiring for $105 shipped. It's DIY so you will need to learn how to solder but you cannot beat the price. The LEDs are Bridgelux, the outfit always throws in extra bulbs so my 14 bulb purchase ended being 16. You can buy complete DIY kits up to 120 emitters
nano-reef.com is where I found them and everyone there who has purchased them is as happy as I am. Check it out here: http://aquastyleonline.com/ |
