As the title suggests I want to know the good and bad about B & I aquariums and terrariums. I am considering going big 250+g

That's Mitch at bow valley. Depending what you're looking for it can be good or bad. The tanks are solid and cheap, if it's something in stock you'll get a good deal. The issues sometimes come from delays for custom tanks, some have even waited years, many cancel the orders. However I think lately has been better but you'll have to find someone who has dealt with him on a custom build recently.

From everything I have read here, my suggestion would be Concept if your shopping in Calgary.

Irene is receptionist, Mitch is builder.

I can also confirm that B&I is Mitch from Bow Valley.

Personally, I would go with a tried any true company and would suggest Concept Aquariums in Calgary. Fast, excellent customer service, and good pricing.

Go with concept aquatics. Proven well built tanks, good prices, and good guys to deal with.

Dave @ Concept is at least twice as charming as Mitch.

I would go with Dave at Concept. If you're going to come to Calgary anyway to have a tank built you will be happier and less frustrated at the end of the day.

agreed dave all the way great guy to talk to and will usually work something out and the only guy i know that will do starfire one piece eurobrace if you wonna go all out lol
