Clams
Could I put a small clam in my 29g biocube hqi and not have to worry about dosing ca/alk. What do you guys think
|
They don't have as big of a draw on Ca and Alk as corals do but the reality is they'll live longer if you keep your big 3 params in check. If you maintain levels with waterchanges then that's probably good enough but keep dosing open as an option if that has trouble keeping up over time..
|
I agree with Delphinus, if you are doing regular water changes then you shouldn't need to dose, if not then you might need to dose. You can just bring a water sample into your lfs after a month and see where you are.

Came home with not one but 2 clams one for dads tank and one for mine.
