Never know what you will see while skiing

So yesterday I take the family skiing at Mt Baker(130"+ base) for my son's 17th birthday. On our way driving up the mountain we see this guy walking down the side of the road totally naked. It's -2c, snowing heavily and this guy doesn't have any clothes on at all, no shoes, no socks nothing. First words out of my mouth were for my daughter to close her eyes. Lol

Wow.... I thought I'd lost everything in bad crashes before with yard-sale comments from the sidelines.. this takes it to a new level.

Bblinks 01-26-2012 05:34 PM

One would wonder where has this man been?!

lockrookie 01-26-2012 05:36 PM

reminds me ofthe movie knights tale... lost his clothes gambling

Leah 01-26-2012 05:43 PM

Maybe a rotten divorce. X-wife got everything including the clothes off his back.

FishyFishy! 01-26-2012 05:52 PM

Aliens for sure.... Buddy was abducted and probed before being dropped back to earth naked. Poor fellow.

jorjef 01-26-2012 06:00 PM

I don't think his actions are Chuck Norris approved. Well at that temp who knows?

I'm not surprised you saw his single-ended with so many moguls around.

Sorry about that, couldn't help myself.

I think I'm going to go with the alien abduction as there were no cars around anywhere. The guy even made the snowplow stop.

Beverly 01-26-2012 08:29 PM

Gee, I would have been inclined to get some help for this guy. All kidding aside, he was in a dangerous position being naked in a snowstorm :neutral:

I agree.

Wondering now, did you keep driving or stop to see if maybe he needed help? Seeing it was a quiet road...

It's seems obvious something was wrong.

Poor guy... Must have been a rough weekend for him.

We got into an accident this weekend, and I was stuck in the ditch. I had my (almost) two year old in the back seat balling his eyes out. I watched 12 people drive by, looking at me struggling to get out and you know what? NOT ONE OF THEM STOPPED. One guy slowed down and yelled if I was okay out of the window of his monster truck, when I replied "sort of, just a bit stuck", he drove off in a hurry and didn't offer to help. It took me 30 minutes to dig myself out of the ditch. Stupid thing is I have the tow rope in my backseat if anyone would have offered to help it would have been an easy pull and I would have paid them. But no, people couldn't be bothered.

I'll never forget it and will always stop now each and every time I see someone in need. Naked or not, lol. In this guy's case it sounds like a bad breakup or mean friends. I hope everything worked out for him and he was able to locate some clothes.

I'm not 100% confident about putting a naked guy in my back seat where;

A) He's probably sweaty and disgusting and smelly and;

B) Probably mentally ill .... and sitting behind me ready to strangle me.

I would definitely think twice before picking someone like that up!!:twised:

BUT if he was the ass end (no pun intended) of a mean practical joke... I feel for the guy.

LOL! No you're right, in this case it might be safer just to ask if you can call someone for him.

Leah 01-26-2012 10:05 PM

A call is your definetly your best bet. Or in the States the nearest Police station. :wink:

kien 01-26-2012 10:12 PM

Stag weekend. AKA, The Hangover: Part 3.

kien 01-26-2012 10:21 PM

This thread reminds me of something I read recently. Yesterday I read a news article where a good samaritan heard a woman screaming from her car, ran over to help as she was being car jacked, only to be shot dead in front of his two kids :( Yes, he was a hero and saved a life. Very sad though.

mark 01-27-2012 12:44 AM

on survival courses they'll usually say people suffering from hypothermia may start removing their clothes. Hope the guy wasn't wandering around lost

Nano 01-27-2012 12:46 AM

Lol I thought for sure it was going to be a big foot sighting. But this is just as good. :lol:
