Inside the Modular LED Sweatshop :)

We make all of the connectors for Modular LED in house by hand so every so often my living room table turns into a sweatshop for connectors haha. Here you can see about 5000 that was done this week. Bottom of the the picture is the 3 types I was making.

And 6 hours later about 1/2 way through haha

The Grizz 01-16-2012 04:44 AM

WOW! I didn't realize you put these all together yourself Martin, BTW ummmmm I kind of need one of those end loop to go with the start you put on my last driver. I will have to swing by & grab one next time I'm in town.

Yes we design and assemble the PCB boards too. Unfortunately 2 inch is the shortest connector I can make however you can still place the boards right next to each other you just kind of pinch the connector like this:

Wow props to you Martin that's some real dedication

waynemah 01-16-2012 08:31 AM

I also have another one.

Many hands make mistakes. If you want something done right, do it yourself. haha

Ahhhh, so true. Confucius now say, "Untrained helpers equals double the work for the Master."

Nano 01-16-2012 07:41 PM

Confucius also say, "man who go to bed with itchy bum, wake up with smelly finger"

:pound:

Confucius sounds a bit like Murphy.

Murphy's Golden Rule: He who has the gold makes the rules.

I considered tiling my floor with LED lenses today from a recent delivery $72/sqft. Then I realized fine Italian marble would be cheaper haha.

That would be what 2000 45 degree lenses look like

Aqua-Digital 04-13-2012 01:46 AM

Hey Martin,

I do hope you have the pooch electrostatically earthed

martinmcnally 04-13-2012 01:54 AM

There is no keeping that guy tied down haha.

Did a round of driver configuration a few nights ago. We pre-wire and configure all of our ELN-60-48D drivers now. So all you got to do is connect and plug them in.

Configured to 800mA:

Connectors added:

Be sure to get the correct interface to go between your ProfiLux and your LED driver(s).

You'll LOVE having such ultimate control over your lights from your ProfiLux. It's almost an addiction in it's own. LOL

Oh he will, I have the same controller and I am using all 6 channels to dim my huge LED's. I have to figure out what would be the best layout for Mike and let him know what to order.

Don't sweat it. "The Grizz" will get you going in no time at all.

There is another component you need to go between the ProfiLux and the LED just after the driver to allow control of the LED. He'll get you going and it's easy as pie too :)

The Grizz 04-13-2012 03:20 PM

you need the EVG boards in order to connect the dimmable driver to the Profilux and they are super easy to hook up.
