Calling all PS3 guru's , need some help please I am tryin to figure out how to play a video file on my PS3. Is there a certain conversion program I need to use to make it playable from a USB stick? I already know that the stick has to be formatted to Fat32 & have done that already. |

According to all the info I have found so far the video file has to be converted to a PS3 MP4 format. I have the files in both AVI. & MP4. But neither work. |

Why not make a media server on your PC then you wouldn't have to put your files in your USB. |

If I knew how to do that too I would, just a welder not a techie  My PC does show up on the PS3 but the files that show up will not play. |

goto ps3mediaserver.org. if your file isn't playing, could it be that you havent updated your ps3 yet? |

My boy updated it a couple nights ago. |

does the usb show up at all? does it show up empty? I had the same problem, but found that you need to press the triangle to "show all" and then I could play .avi and such... might work for you.... Steve |
