Sorry guys, no pic. :frown: But its your regular everyday Hamilton pendant . Picked it up on ebay two years ago. The Bulb is old...about a year and a half. Overall pretty good condition. $250.00.

Since I am not a potential buyer,I can't get into a discussion about prices. But anyone willing to put a little research into the product offered will soon see what amuses me about this post :rolleyes:

I don't even know the specs of the light in order to check the price... I've found listings ranging from $200 to $450...

I dont know too many people that pay the asking price, however I do know that in any negotiation you can never go up.

Maybe my friend from the PNE should put his potato chips down and learn a little from Yakiwb2

Don't take this so personally guys!! It's just a fun hobby, not something to get angry at anyone over. I did not find Bob's remark offensive at all. I would actually like to know if someone's prices seem to be high especially if it was my price. I don't want to overcharge anyone. Too bad we have to stay out of these posts. In my mind if I put a PH up for sale for 100.00. I would love someone to put up. "Well at this place a new PH only costs 50.00. Then I will know why no one is placing a bid on my product. I am not saying that is the situation here as I have not done any research into the lighting, but if Bob did. Great.

Wow. Didn't think trying to unload my MH would cause such a stir. Although I admit my soft aquarist heart was a little saddened by Bob's laughing at me...I've forgiven him, so all is well at canreef on this thread. I suppose even soft aquarists hearts can be mended over time...with plenty of love and W.C.'s!! Anyways, it's 175 watts and its a 14k, for anybody whose wondering.

Oh well to get back on topic.

It seems to me for used aquarium goods the going rate is/ought to be anywhere from 50% of retail (lighting and equipment) to 25% of retail (tanks/stands etc which are bulky and hard to get rid of).

Plus or minus depending on the age. I would go as high as 75% on any item if it was in mint condition.

I'd agree. Before writing my post...I did some Due Diligence. These pendants are going anywhere from 385 to 489 brand new + tax. So I figured I'd put it in for 250...coming in at around 50% off listing price. I was expecting to get low balled a little..that's fine. So Basically I think we are on target minus the bartering. 250 OBO.

Is yours the Reefsun 14K as listed?
