Brett, pics don't do your tank justice, it's still shiny new but I really loved the look of it when I was there.

MrFish55, it's not a thread just for the nicest tanks, it's mostly just to document where we are each at. It's kinda cool to look back at the progress.

I'll have to get the tripod out tomorrow as well... might be the last FTS of my 30.... hope to have a 120 going before the end of the year... sooner I hope

Here's mine. Hard to get a good pic 'cause it's round and most shots look like a cartooon with LEDs. This is the best I could get. This is at dusk.

Yes but I seem to be going backwards, the tanks looked much better 2 years ago.

My tank looked better in the 2010 thread. Tank has grown a lot, but colors were better. I've been struggling with the tank for the last year.

I like how you can't even see the rock in those shots. Colour looks great to me!

ok photographer I guess, LOL. The tripod just lets me get the shutter slow enough to get a good shot...

Some pictures are worth seeing more than once & using some extra bandwidth doesn't bother me since I seldom use my phone to surf Canreef.:razz:

Finally got an ok shot of mine this morning. Finally figured out the white balance, so the colour looks right too

It's a bit full. I'm hoping to have the "new to me" RSM 250 up soon to transfer everything into.

Nice tanks! Be nice if everyone would post here this year. There are a lot of users here without build threads who rarely share pics. Some even have a bazillion posts.

Maybe you just need a tank tour. Water's not that clear - lot's of bubbles and sand fines.

Rob, I don't think either. I haven't ID'ed it, but it grows like a weed. I frag it all the time and it's still my largest colony!

Hey Wayne. Post one up of your tank. I don't believe I've seen it......Im sure its great, even if its a work in progress (which they all are).

I started the tank off with vortech's. 2 mp40wes. Those worked great for awhile but as things are growing I wasn't getting good flow to the back corners due to the large center overflow so I have just recently added two tunze 6025's modified to either side of the overflow box and this takes care of the low flow areas that I was experiencing.

I love the vortechs and don't have much experience with the higher end Tunze models. I think for a tank my size the vortechs are the best bet as they take up minimal real estate. If I did a larger tank 400+ gallons I think that I would have a combination of both. Vortechs on the side walls and then some Tunzes on the back on a rotating device.

After having this tank setup for awhile I really wish I had gone for an external overflow. I would never do a tank with an internal overflow again especially a center overflow. They just create water flow problems and require you to have too many powerheads. Lesson learned. But hey, it gives me a reason to upgrade some time :biggrin:.

Wayne, you can come by and check it out any time. Maybe wait till you have another frag of red planet available and we can do some trading :biggrin:.
