Vermetid snail. To get rid of it you have to break his cacoon and physically remove the body. They're not harmful but yes the web is ugly.

+1 I had one in my original 8 gallon nano, little bugger made a hell of a mess. I just pulled him out, lol I didnt actually know what it was though when I did so
Thanks for the quick replys and yes the web looks damn ugly sooo it,s time to do some snail snagging then.
I put reef safe super glue gel over mine, or epoxy. the gel works better though.
I was figuring on using my wifes knitting needle kinda stick it in and twirl the little buggers out.:twised:

I got 3 peppermint shrimp since then no more aptasia they took care of all of them in about 2 days.

A needle most times don't work because the snail spirals it's shell, your needle won't make it through the first spiral, trust me I've tried... Just glue the opening or pull the rock out and break the shell off and shuck the sucker like oysters!
I had a couple in my tank awhile ago, i put some reef glue over top of the tube and they never came back.

also I should say I literally stabbed the crap out of them, But I stabbed, the closed polyp once or twice injecting them in the process. but they way I said it makes it sound more EVIL :twised:
Thanks Tang Daddy pulled the piece out and yes they do spiral pretty good so it was needle nose pliers then just grab the little buggers and hopefully thats the end of it.:twised:
