Mutant Paly?
 

At first i thought it was spliting but i know they dont split like this.
Anybody seen one like this?

On that site it said it's splitting but mines been like this for over a month so I don't think it's splitting. I thought it was pretty neat though

I had a few paly of the same type of yours doing the same thing but they never splitted. They simply have 2 mouths and stay with 2 mouths.

Just give it a fancy name and it could be worth hundreds. :lol:

i got like 50 of those so not worth hundreds :P they do that for some reason...

In order to worth hundreds, they need to be pretty...those are pretty ugly. I am actually killing what ever I find in my tank and getting rid of them. Nobody want them, even if I give them for free. It's not the fancy name that make a paly or zoa worth hundreds, it's the look and the rarity.

I would like to find out why they do this. I killed all of them with my tank swap but a few have been growing back. I agree on the fact that they are pretty ugly lol

That would be very hard to find out. We don't even know the basic behind zoanthids and palythoas and why some are doing well and some are just melting for no apparent reason. We know so little about them!

I have no clue why they do this double mouth. I once tried to find some info on it but never found anything.

more than likely no different than any other animalor plant im guessing since they cant be "born" with defects they get them as they grow.sounds like you guys have mentally disabled palys lol ;)

remember the one on the left is always the evil one hehehe:)
