Welcome to Canreef, guy!
Where is Sunnyside, anyways?
Sunnyside is on the North side of the river. I believe it ends around tenth street NW. I think it is somewhere North of Crescent Heights. I am probably wrong, but I don't have my map book in the house.
My sources tell me that Sunnyside is the community east of 10th ST and north of Memorial Drive. It is a funky, hip, older community. Some will say it includes Kensington.
Ah I believe that would be near Hillhurst then.
Yes Hillhurst is also in that area, but just East I think. There is even a West Hillhurst, but strangely enough there is no East Hillhurst.

I am a new comer in here and in Canada. I am glad to see there are many person like reef tank. My English is diffcult to communicate, I hope you can understand my meaning. Now I don't know the english name of so many stuff about marine fish. I have a lot questions. The first one is where is the Gold store. thanks for you. I am living sunnyside now .When I walked from Ctrain station to home yesterday, I found a very great reef tank in a apartment. the location is very near the CTrain station. The host is here??? |
Welcome to Canada as well then. Where are you from?
 Thanks for your welcome. China.
Some of us understand perfectly.
I was actually considering teaching ESL in recent years. |
really?? I applicate ESL now.

today ,I went to the Gold.It is small, and don't have many marine fish. Some chinese work in there. But they can't speak mandarin.
Try Wai's maybe (16th Ave NW across from Peter's Drive-In), or Ocean Aquarium (Center St north at about 24th ave). You might have better luck there, but I'm not sure about the Mandarin.
Mandarin the fish or language?
Couldn't resist, plus you Calgarians like this post padding, I thought I'd try. |

I don't really shop at this store, but, ... I understand that they get their shipments in on Thursdays (they are closed on Thursdays). So the best practise is to check with them on Fridays for the best selection. I hope this helps. And, somebody, please feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken on the days. But I'm pretty sure it's Thursdays that the shipments arrive. |

AJ_77: you mean only chinese provide aquarium services??
ruck'n'reefer: Mandarin is not a fish, but not a language. Mandarin and Cantonese have same word, but pronunciation is difference. Delphinus: It is good suggestion.I will try. EmilyB: How are you? |

I am good Rick. Want to know where to get the best wonton soup in the city....
Just go to Wais and walk down the mall a bit.... |
Actually, I heard that Won-ton King out in Foothills industrial park gets top ratings, too. Between them and their other restaurant downtown, they go through 4000 won-tons per day!
Mitch |
My turn,
One ton of what? are we talk'n salt or sand, either way that's alot of stuff  |
That must be a metric won-tonne! That's a lot of won-tonnes!!!
Well, there is Chinese Won Ton, which is generally a beef type broth which IMO totally sucks.
The Vietnamese version is chicken based, the ingredients are all homemade and the hot sauce is to die for. |
