Jeez, I wish. I wish I could buy it from you with the option for you to buy it back someday. Consider it fishsitting. I know how much time and heart you have put into this tank and I'm literally shedding a few tears for you.

I actually have a brand new trimless 48x20x24" with low iron front sitting in my garage waiting for me to replace my 90 this fall and more skimmers than I know what to do with. I really appreciate your offer, but you need to get a good amount of money back on this tank Mike. If you really run into a jam we can talk, until then try not to flog it.

Skimmerking 09-16-2011 02:21 AM

lets say $3000 for pretty much all

Myka 09-16-2011 02:28 AM

Mike, I said don't flog it!

Skimmerking 09-16-2011 02:44 AM

Parker 09-16-2011 02:45 AM

Really sorry to hear that Mike, hope the sale goes well.

lastlight 09-16-2011 02:46 AM

Sorry to hear this Mike. I can speak from experience and say that even when things seem beyond horrible you just do what you gotta and the hobby WILL pull you back when the time is right.

You *just* got her running but again I know what that feels like. Chin up and I wish you luck with the sale it's a crappy ordeal.

kien 09-16-2011 02:49 AM

reefwars 09-16-2011 01:36 PM

mike i really hate to see you lose something your so passionate about, from someone who went through roughly the same thing, this is your dream and like me pls dont look back 1 yr from now saying i wish i hadnt of because i guarantee you will.......i doubt its a money thing as it wasnt for me but youve been a great friend and although im too far to take it i say lets put it in storage because you know your gonna want to re create this dream and as it stands right now your already soooo close:) pls reconsider:):) cheers buddy:)

ALang 09-16-2011 02:27 PM

So sorry to hear this.
I wish you were closer, too.
It is an expensive hobby. Especially when you are trying to sell.=usually end up losing most of your investments.
I have the room for that tank/ stand. I will ask Hubby when he gets back.
But darned it, he'd probably say no due to the travel time.

Good luck **heavy heart**. Take care.

i agree 100% bud get yourself a storage unit... get a few ppl to help you move it it is cheaper fro you to rent storage than to have to rebuild

not to mention it will give you the oportunity to part out if you need fundage rather thanlose it all as for the fish andlive stock sell them to get funds for a smaller tank for the time being.

Coleus 09-16-2011 04:16 PM

I would go get it in a second if I didn't have to take the livingroom window out to get the tank in. We *just* put new windows in too. The doors in our house all have a wall running parallel to the door. Can't even get a 4 footer in without turning it on end. I knew we should have put French doors in the kitchen instead of replacing the window.
