Look at that pile of glass! Wow man that is impressive (and a bit scary)

parkinsn 08-30-2011 11:35 PM

Don't worry Brett, you know where my folks live. You can partake in the intervention. I will PM with time of pick up.

Thats a pretty impressive collection of glass Grizz!! What size is that cube in there?

sphelps 08-30-2011 11:38 PM

Impressive like the crazy cat lady down the street...

So I'm thinking you could do without the 18th tank, someone less fortunate might be more deserving of such a deal...

Not all these are display worthy & I am planning on a home based SW shop for this area so every tank count. And who knows maybe I will just build a stand with cabinet doors, sump and plumbing and then just give it away as a complete unit.

If you are refering to one of the ones with the tape on them they are actually someones else sump and res. tank that I am helping build for him.

parkinsn 08-31-2011 12:30 AM

Ya that would be the one im referring to. Too bad.

hillbillyreefer 08-31-2011 12:33 AM

You have a problem. Try crack or heroin, I'm sure it would be cheaper than your salt problem.

The Grizz 08-31-2011 01:36 AM

No problem here, would like to start a SW shop for people here in Red Deer for locals.

The big tank in the back is going to be donated to my sons bearded dragons at some point.

And for the record Myka has more tanks then I do.

globaldesigns 08-31-2011 02:23 AM

Can we say "Hoarder"?

globaldesigns 08-31-2011 02:26 AM

Greg, I have a challenge for you...

Set-up every tank, connecting them all together in one crazy system. Tanks high, tanks low, tanks stacked on top of each other. Now that would be cool.

Make some of them Fowler, some predator, some reef, some sea horses, do it all!

That was my sarcasm typing :surprise:

The Grizz 08-31-2011 02:37 AM

I always follow through on my plans but sometimes it take a little while to complete.

I would like to get at least 6 tanks running on one lg sump & one QT tank on a separate sump. My current 8'er will be eventually moved to the office & divided into 2' x 2' sections, below it will be 2-4' tanks also divided in half. That will give me 8 tank sections for fish. I have a nice frag tank already running and the 126 gal will be my display.

If you guy seen my office you would understand my madness :twised:. It is a total man cave, complete with leather couch's & a 50" plasma on the wall.

sphelps 08-31-2011 02:40 AM

I understand that even the place you work is full of distractions....

All kidding aside you have a problem

That's great... Saw the thread about your dad picking it up. Glad it all worked out.

The Grizz 08-31-2011 03:14 AM

I am happy as well, I was also sent 2 big boxes of dry rock, some really nice pieces too.

kien 08-31-2011 06:47 AM

See, all you need now is a new building on your acreage and you can open up a public aquarium. It would at least give people a reason to go to Red Deer on purpose.

gobytron 08-31-2011 02:01 PM

Reminds me of my basement...
You make me feel a lot better about the space I take up in my house with my tanks...

Sometimes i think i could fit another tennant if I got out of this hobby.

I do have a second building that is 40 x 40 but we use it for storage.

claymax 08-31-2011 05:07 PM

howdy20012002 08-31-2011 06:19 PM

LOL....

This is why you buy a house first and get married second...if at all.

Though maybe if i had a shop, marriage might seem more bearable.

Very good thing I'm contained in a shoebox. Given your space I think you've shown restraint =)

reef93 09-01-2011 02:25 AM

The Grizz, I think you should change your user name to Tankmaster or Tankaholic

That is a good suggestion but if you knew or seen me you would change your mind. Plus Grizz is part of my company name.

That's what I thought as well. Just glad I don't work or have a friend here that's in the glass industry or who knows what would happen

Never mind the 16,000 gals of indoor pool, if I was single it might have a shark or two in it

Coleus 09-01-2011 04:10 AM

Thanks Greg, I show your tank picts to my wife to prove that I am not at all addictive to this hobby.
