2 questions
Why do people sell cycled live rock that is better than the stuff in the LFS for half the price the LFS sells it for? Because it is "used"? Why do so many people have 40-100 pounds of cycled LR sitting around their homes? Sorry to hijack. That being said, I have some, but even though Ridge Meadows sounds like it is in Alberta, it is not ;) |
Deb - let me know if you haven't found any by next week. I'll be in Vic over the long weekend, and could run some of Brad's back for ya.

I tried to give away 100lbs and couldn't find a taker. Granted, I wanted it all gone in 24 hrs....but still, I was surprised someone didn't jump allover it. I eventually sold most of it to the LFS and got $1 per lb in store credit - which was mcuh better than nothing. |
I got some amazing rock from Steve and Bryce, thank you guys so much !!
The evening went downhill for a bit when I threw the existing rock into a rubbermaid and vacuumed the tank into it, finding out there was a crack in the bottom.... all that water AGAIN... Tank was mud...ugly. New rock in, Trig is poofing and Spike is enjoying the new zoo meal ! Thanks again. |

I've been around a while and have given it away.
I started in the hobby 12 years ago with Fiji rock and never had aiptasia, bad crabs, bubble algae, etc... That all changed the first time I bought used rock. However, where I am at now is not an issue as I have an established aiptasia eating fish, and a trigger... Quote:

I've had rubbermaids with rock in it, cycled.. sitting around... pretty much for like the last 6 years. i've had 50+lbs extra at any one time, it gets switched out from time to time. I guess I just like 'saving' nice pieces, haha.
