Maui pics
I recently got back from my honeymoon in Maui. Am pleased to say I was in and under the water all but 2 of the 10 days we were there and that was only because of poor weather. All of the pics were taken at Honolua Bay, Molokini, the Dumps, or in front of our condo at Honokawai.

Great shots, makes me miss Maui now! My favorite spot was Coral Gardens off Hwy30 between Lahaina and Maalaea. What camera did you shoot with?

Thanks everyone.

With the TS3, I could easily see the LCD screen and check to see how decent my pictures were while in the water. No leaks or fogging issues with the external lens either. I'd highly recommend this camera for anyone not looking to buy a dedicated waterproof case for their digital camera. We never did visit the corals gardens but I think I know where you are talking about. We stayed only a few minutes from Honolua Bay so that is where we went the most. I would have liked to have gone back to "The Dumps" at least once more because there was a real nice reef with tons of marine life. A pod of spinner dolphins was also commonly seen there but they never came close enough to get any under water pics. |
Nice pics. thanks for sharing.

Aw man that looks sweet. Those encrusting purple monties look out of place within the otherwise less-than-bright rockwork. And wow those Kole tangs have even more striking patterns on them in the wild. I find mine only really light up under the bluer halides but you can see in your photos under the sunlight how great they look.

Terrific pics. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone! The blue encrusting montis were the most colorful corals that I saw while in Maui. There were yellow and yellow/green porities as well pink "cauliflower" corals but other than that, most of the corals were shades of tan and brown.
