christyf5 06-28-2011 04:02 PM

Sorry to hear this Carmen, hopefully life slows down enough in the future to give you more time for a tank.

Coleus 06-28-2011 04:03 PM

Sorry to hear Carmen, I am wondering if there is a way to take a break without breaking down tank myself.

Carmen 06-28-2011 04:23 PM

Ya, I wish there were a way to go on autopilot for a little while...
but a clean start will be fun too...

Money pit 06-28-2011 08:11 PM

Sucks

For anyone interested in the RBTAs. I got one from Carmen last week and its as healthy as you could ever want. The green oral disk with red/orange tentacles looks awesome. When I put it in my tank, it stayed where I placed it and was eating within about 24 hrs. If your an anem fan these are top of the line RBTAs

Oops forgot to add, Im also interested in the yellow SPS and the little Pocci frag.

Carmen 06-28-2011 09:15 PM

Thanks Greg! Glad to hear it's doing so well!
Let me know when you'd like the sps!

Lance 06-28-2011 09:26 PM

Sad news Carmen
But you'll miss your tank and be back before you know it.

I've been on "almost" autopilot for about 8 months now (I have a 7month old), the tank isn't as pretty as I like but nobody has suffered. Tank gets fed and WCs get done when I have time other than that I don't spend much time on it. I keep thinking eventually it I'll have more time but I'll likely never have the time I did before. I just can't let go though.

No life just gets busier as they get older!! :surprise: I have been on "Autopilot" as much as one can and hence the reason it is looking not so pretty anymore! I just find it discouraging to look at especially when I have started losing corals because of my neglect! So time to take a break I guess! I'm thinking a clean start in a year or so might be nice!

Meeting a few people in the SE tonight if that helps anyone - not able to catch fish for tonight but if anyone wants remaining corals I can bag those tonight.

I have little critter, don't know what it's called but it is basically a coral with a "shell or skeleton" that has a little worm living in it that pulls it around the sand. Can't find a name for it but super neat little thing! We have had them in at Red Coral a few times. Needs a home... $15
(will try to get a pic up today)

fishytime 06-30-2011 04:15 PM

They call them knuckle corals.... I think

Nuccio46 06-30-2011 11:11 PM

Crab

Hi. Just curious i spotted some real strange looking crab in one of my new rocks. Hairy with black head and arms. He wouldn't come out for his perch so I'm thinking he is trouble, plus one other small crab that looks like emerald crab but flat and I think he may be not good as well. I was looking online but can't find what it may be... Then today I found another hermit crab dead... Mmmm soomeone is causing my casualities...any thoughts?
Thank you

Carmen 06-30-2011 11:23 PM
