Suggestions for Stocking a Tiny Tank

While I'm planning a large system, I'm going to start a little 12-14G tank. It seems small to even put a fish in there......

Could you folks give me some suggestions for what I could stock it with aside from the usual LR and LS. I won't try to grow anything too exotic. Maybe some zoa's or a soft coral or 2.

A shrimp or two?
A crab?

What do the experts say?

what are the diamentions?

I think it will be the Oceanic biocube, 15.5" X 15" X 16.7".

Here's a short list..... Pom pom crabs, porcelain crabs, sexy shrimp, trimma gobies, eviota gobies, clown gobies, yasha family of gobies (stongiobiops)

The smaller the tank the less leeway you will have but it can be done.

You could add some crabs I would say a couple. And you could put a shrimp in maybe a Peppermint or scarlet Red cleaner.

For coral you could do say a Sun coral, some Frogspawn, Hammers, Zoa's. All lot will depend on what you have for lights.

You will be topping up quite a bit.

And you could even go with a neon gobie.

Those nano Fish that Fishytime suggested are great for a nano! I love the little trimma gobies! And I would stock it full of the little shrimp and crabs that go unnoticed in the larger systems! Live those little inverts! There are tones if great options for a nano! Coral - zoas, frogspawn, bubble corals, some really nice fuzzy mushrooms out there, tonnes of options! Nanos are nice to incorporate those little things that disappear in a large tank!

I had put a pistol shrimp/goby pair in my nano when it was set up. They can be a lot of fun to watch. Yasha goby's are very nice looking.
