Hathaway's review:

This is an excellent diner. Food is good and fairly price. Staff is quite personable. they were busy on a Friday morning at 10. The reasons for the change in diners is:

1. I asked the owner about have a meeting of 10 people. She said that would be okay but on Sat it is busy. You would have to wait to get that group of 10 seats.
2. Because it is small waiting customers tend to scowl at you if you take too long eating( that is what the owner said)
3. They are not open Sunday
4. I would definitely go back. They have an eggs benedict special only on Sat.....I am going to check that out.....

Bahaha good one Lastlight, but i never said anything about JBs Wayne, at least its on a main road, this new diner is way off the beaten path right across from some real "interesting" condos.... my only point being is you are trying to attract new people to show up to these meets not discourage them.... I'll be there either way....

Okay I will change to Sunday... I am open to other diner choices.........Saratoga was the alternate

Saratoga.... been going there for the past 25 years and has really fallen off quality wise, the prices arent cheap either, how about we try for something central like a smittys or something.... maybe kingsway.... i believe they take reservations and its quick for anyone to get there..... obviously not for may but maybe for next time?

Why not for may? I can call Smitty's in Kingsway and make the reservations, if people are ok with that :biggrin:

I called smitty's in kingsway and they don't take reservations, not sure if that would be an issue or not.

I just sadi not for May as Wayne has already picked a place adn i didnt want to hijack it

I think that was partly my fault Lyndsy. I can never go on Sundays and I wined about it :lol:

He said he was open to other ideas and I would rather go eat somewhere I am familiar with then some place I've never heard of in a shady area of the city.

I keep hearing that Cora's has an amazing egg benedict but haven't tried it yet. Of coarse Cora's is crazy busy on the weekend.

Go away for a few days and you have an insurrection

1. Steve, You know I check these places out before the reefers meet
2. too far....that is why we own cars or hogs
3. some of the best places are mom and pop diners
4. Safe neighbourhood...Try hanging around beverly a few hours at night
5. This is technically the last meeting before summer...so if someone like Laurie wants the job to carry into summer, I need a break. I might takeover in the fall if Laurie doesn't want the job. Or maybe some else
6. I often change dates or times for people if necessary/possible
-Sat actually worked better for me
7. I prefer lunch vs breakfast ......Mucho Burritto..haven't been there in a while
8. I don't mind changing location..... works for me.....But try not to make Alberts/Smittys the only spot to go to

all good guys!! keep it saturday! i get to see most of you anyway when you roll into my store after!!!
