I have a 72 gallon is that to small for a yellow tang?

bignose 04-23-2011 10:58 PM

Some will say no but I think it's fine to have a yellow tang, or a tang that's similar in size.

i had that stuff and grew nice and pretty.... then my starry blenny ate it all in two days. try that.

Got a yellow tang and it has not touched it. Any other ideas? It's out of control.

You can never garentee a paticular fish will take care of a problem. Algae problems are a result of excess nutrients giving the algae a food source. Unfortunatly it seams to take no time to have an algae problem but takes for ever to get rid of it.
you can pull calurpa out by hand and then perform water changes and make sure you are not over feeding, over stocking, and your bulbs are not too old

Likewise, I've bought coral that had some grape on the live rock base and it was gone within an hour because of my foxface.
