Says it all really

received today from happy New Era convert

Hi Michael,

In my opinion, as I've stated before, yet I feel I need to state again, this is by far the best fish food I've come across in 15 years of fish keeping. Every species I have visibly prefers your flake to any other I have, I've actually given away or thrown out all other flake foods I have.

Best regards,.
Jon Kenny

can the "food system" be used to feed all types of corals as well?

Do you just spot feed the pellets?

what about corals that can't consume full pellets?

Wow thanks for the compliment Freddy!

Really pleased on two fronts really, firstly that everyone is enjoying the diets, and secondly that we obviously made the correct decision in our Canadian Distributor!!

Yeah absolutely!

A lot of people over on this side of the pond are using the pellets for feeding to LPS and the flakes (when ground into a dust) as a suspension feed for SPS.

Check out the facebook page, someone has put a pic of some Candy Cane feeding on the pellets earlier today!

The Aegis will likely have no benefit to corals over the marine pellets, however I will look into that.

interesting about the flake being used for coral food, can you post a link to the facebook page Andy or send me a copy of the details and I will post here

where to buy

I know this is a dumb question,I recieved free samples but when they are gone where can a guy buy some.

Aqua-Digital 04-02-2011 12:28 PM

multiple dealers in canada carry the product. Progressive reef has the largest stock holding.

For other BC stores you can call Oceans aquatics, or B&D aquatics also coral reef aquatics. There are 4 Alberta stores carrying it and 3 Sask. 1 in QC and about 10 in Ontario. There are a couple out East also.

I know a few stores are low on some items so get them to give me a call if out of stock what you are looking for and we can fast track it to them.

all or one

Just wondering what you would recomend all four of the flake foods or just the marine flake I have a 75 gallon reef with both meat and grazers for fish, one thing i noticed about the new era flake is that it is fairly soft compared to the hard flake of the competitors which I think makes a big difference.Would you use this food as the only food or supplement with frozen.

Aqua-Digital 04-03-2011 05:39 PM

Hi

There is way more benefit in the flake food than you would get out of frozen food. When the frozen foods are produced much of the nutrients are lost. This is the reason New Era Make the Liposome droppers to put back into the food what the process takes out.

So taking that into account you have a couple of options as follows

1. Follow the New Era Aegis program for optimum feeding and vitality importantly health and immune strength of your fish. This would include all 4 flakes but over an 8 week feeding cycle

week 1-4 Marine flake and Herbivore
week 4-6 Aegis I
week 6-8 Aegis II
repeat

This cycle of feeding provides the most balanced diet available.

2. Feed Marine and Herbivore flake and mix in with this frozen food but essential to add the marine liposome spray. This is also available in Aegis I and Aegis II so you could feed flake fo the 4 week cycle and then frozen with Aegis Liposome as per the flake feeding regime.

The best diet however will come from the flake food.
