My 26 Gallon Bow Pics

here are a couple of pics of my 26 gallon bow front. I've got a 400 watt MH over it, overflow and a 15 gallon sump. Not much coral yet, a clam, two Acros gorgonian and a cauliflower coral... and a few polyps.

First pic you can see is still a bit cloudy, second pic you can see the canopy and third pic you can see the Ushio bulb, Optimal reflector and the muffin fans for cooling, look up for the third fan.

I am thinking to put a 26gallon bow in my living room for when I move my 120 into the basement (and probably moving the 120 to a bigger tank).

Actually, my girl wants me to setup a nice little tank with just the two clownfish and some colourful corals in the living room...

Can you get us a full shot of the setup - stand and all?

Doug, I agree. A full pic would be great. Looks good.

Sure I can do that tomorrow, it's in a crappy part of the basement so it's got alot of clutter around it still.

Lost King Ed has some nice 16 gallon bow fronts, lots of mini bows too. Just a thought.

Yah, I saw them last time I was in there...

I am thinking a little bigger tho. Maybe even a corner tank with the bowfront... Since the tank will be going in a corner in the living room.

BTW - how long has your 26 bow been setup for?

I just moved the rock and corals in there yesterday.

The tank, stand and hood look good... but you are right, you need to clean up the area around it a bit :)

I was thinking of a very similar setup, except the stand would be a little smaller - I want some space around the tank, but only 6 inches or so.

Thanks for the pics, good luck with the tank!

I was thinking about enclosing the sides and top, make it all a single unit. I'd like to put shelves on each side of the tank, or put my holding tank for the auto top off.

Yeah it's a mess but I've been rebuilding most of the basement trying to set up that tank in the mean time. In the next few days that area will be cleaned up and I think I'll cover the back of the tank. I'm really pleased with this tank, actually now I'm in no hurry to set up my 90... .

If you cover it and put shelves on the side, you'll lose a lot of viewing area on the sides, won't you?

BCOrchidGuy 01-08-2004 03:08 AM

Yes for sure, that's the ONLY reason I didn't do it before setting the tank up...

I was going to cut the table down as well so it fit better but I like roomier... oh well

heh, decisions decisions!

They have a 46 gallon bow that got the side knocked out of it, I'm tempted to get that and replace the side but I know it will be a pain in the posterior... but wow I like bow fronts..
