Neither are hornets. the bottom one is most likely Blue Steels.

Snagged the last rock of these off Kevin a few weeks back, can always count on Red Coral for some of the nicer zoas out there.

hmm judging by the zoaid pics they look alot more like hornets then the blue steel.... we sold out of em quick, and people were all calling em hornets, so i dunno....

Hornets have a green upper skirt and disc colour lower skirt so it looks like they alternate. Thats what the purple hornets are so I dont see why the blue would be any different.

The Blue Steels have green on both skirts from I can tell. I have a piece from Levi and its definatly a blue steel.

I'm pretty sure those are LifeSaver Skittle Eye Barney zoas.

steels have the green mouth with no ring around it.....hornets have the green ring circling the mouth:biggrin:

I'm pretty sure the ones I traded you were Purple Hornets Ryan, hows that frag doing for you btw? Haha ironically we are probably arguing about the exact same species just exhibiting a different morphotype. Although mine don't alternate (All of them exhibit the metallic green color), IMO they look more like Hornets (Purple) than the Blue Steels.

Those sound pretty tasty, you should probably put a statement of liability exclusion otherwise you might get into a lawsuit Kien...

Hands down my favorite zoa now next to Candy Apple Reds, they are actually the brightest thing in the tank :surprise:. Thanks again for the swap!

No problem Levi, just keep me in mind as you frag stuff!

We will be up on feb 19th if your feeling brave with the cutters.
