MACNA XXIII
 

Well after years of watching everyone else talk about how amazing this conference is....I'm finally getting a chance to go. My better half gave me the nod at Christmas and I was able to register on the early bird special for the full conference. :) I realize that it's not until September but I figure that just like reefing, the better I plan it, the better chance I have to make the most of it.

Given that it's about as close as it's probably going to get for a while (Des Moines, Iowa), is any one else planning to go? Is there a fairly big Canadian contingent?

I've been meaning to go for a long time but Iowa............ I don't know about that. I know if I go it will come to Los Angles or Seattle the next year.

I went to WMC 98 in Seattle............ thinking it would never come any closer............ WMC 99 was in Richmond ^_^ Doh!!!

Yeah, Iowa wasn't the most exciting choice but I'll be spending all my available time at the conference. I've been to Des Moines for work before so it's nothing too new to me.

Is there anything to do in Des Moines? Can't stay at the conference all the time (that is if I decide to go) ^_^

we went to Orlando last year. Never actually left the building for the three days. It was our first macna but there were enough speakers to fill the day, plus the free bar on Friday was a plus. going again this year.

Dallas would be very reachable from out west here....maybe I could go again. You don't want to know how many connections I have to get to Des Moines.

So with the show coming up so soon, are Mr Wilson and I going to the only people from Canreef going?
