Whitecap Goby (Lotilia graciliosa) & MORE

yup finally getting them, just 2, $339ea, $375 with pistol shrimp!!

taken from another website;

For what is believed to be the first time , the Whitecap Goby (Lotilia graciliosa) has entered the U.S. marine ornamental trade, the specimen is tiny! Just 3/4″, and is expected to retail for $900.

When rarely available, these fish retail for $1,000 USD in Japan… except for the occasional miniscule specimen. Last year a similar sized <1/2″ specimen retailed in Japan for just $100 as survival rate was expected to be low. Unlike many angels and butterflies, L. graciliosa has a pricing structure that directly correlates with size. Specimens in the 1″ range can fetch prices over $1K.

For many this goby lovers, this is the holy grail. $900 and it’s yours, but be sure to set some cash aside to pair it with a shrimp as it’s not included. ==

also coming in;
dracula goby
catalina goby
flaming prawn goby
red striper goby
yashahaze goby
bluespot jawfish

and more.

hard dosent mean impossible, not for everyone anyways, some people cant keep clown fish alive so should we stop selling them?

if a fish was impossible to keep do you think they will sell for $1000? also you missed the part where it said risky for specimen less than 1/2".

your rant maybe justified if it was a shark or something but not for this.

plz read it properly, the $900 part along with the picture was taken from another website.

Wow. As a vendor.... wow. I can see you have your priorities.

Too much time??? What kind of comment is that????? Don't you want people to read your posts? I guess you do... just don't want us to ask questions about conflicting or misused information.

Man... I asked some specific questions and you totally turned into a jerk about it. I even specified this was not directed at you... just a question with a lot of stuff attached.

I am not getting into a spitting match with you. If you don't have the decency to simply answer questions about your posts... which any reputable retailer would.... then thats your issue. But to make a snide comment... wow.

paddyob 12-21-2010 08:21 PM

Ignore list added.

When he 1st joined he tried to pull the same **** on me. I wouldnt worry about him, you know what your doing and you always have good stock come in. Just ignore the hater and be thankful your on his ignore list.

Have you unpacked the order yet?

sphelps 12-22-2010 08:01 PM

Yeah I always laugh when people in the hobby bash others for keeping or selling fish they don't approve of because it apparently has a more negative effect on the wild. It's like a guy who owns a GMC Suburban protesting against Hummers cause they pollute the environment. Tomato, Tomahto people.

PS I'd totally buy a whitecap if I could afford it :lol: Great deal, probably the cheapest I've ever heard of!

az @aquavalley 12-22-2010 08:09 PM

thanks guys, we just started unpacking 5 mins ago.

az @aquavalley 12-22-2010 08:53 PM

both whitecaps are over 1" and they are really nice.

Apologies

For some reason this got out of hand.

I meant no offence when I was asking questions. None. I felt that you were being snarky and a little over the top with some comments and it did upset me.

I apologize if the questions I asked offended you, again, my questions were not asked in spite or anything else... simply I did not understand the information provided.

As it is the holiday season.... I do not wish to hold any bad feelings. Obviously we do not see eye to eye, and as many have pointed out.... many of us never will. That is however, no reason for either of us to reply disrespectfully.

I apologize for my part in this.

Patrick
