The Unveiling!

Well, I thought it was time we slapped some pictures of the epic reno we have been doing. The store is open and doing business and we are rapidly approaching the end.

The Coral tables will be done by the end of this week, and then we can start building our new quarantine system and finishing the stores automation systems (yay Profilux!).

Here is our new store front. We spent many weeks working with SpeedPro Signs and we are tickled pink with the results. Our store can be difficult to see from the main road so now we have a bold window treatment to show it off.

Next, when you walk in you can see our front counter area (with Profilux Geekery corner in the back)

Turning to the right you will find our dry goods area...

http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a.../dry_goods.jpg

The left side of the store contains all of our aquariums, and the soon to be running coral tables...

So this is what we've been doing! Looking forward to seeing you in our new digs!

Cheers, Gareth + Ronnie

lol, my "man cave" is in the back corner behind the main corner, if you look closely I have surrounded myself in Profilux gear so I'll feel right at home...

Thanks :-) It has been several months of hard work, but its starting to pay off. Over the next few weeks we are putting the final polish on a few things but we're getting going pretty quick!

Aquattro 12-12-2010 10:34 PM

I'vew watched this through the various stages, and it's turned out awesome! This is one of the nicest stores I've been in!

christyf5 12-12-2010 11:37 PM

This issue is great, there is an awesome articl on shrimp gobies and a really ggod read on aneorexic reef systems-feeding too little. Cheers Ronnie

Why? The stores I shop keep their tanks clean and care about their livestock. Good enough for me although once again...beauty of a store =)

dsaundry 12-13-2010 07:37 PM

Looking real good....will have to try to come visit in person the next time I get over.

Cameron 12-13-2010 08:26 PM

I was in over the weekend, nice looking store. There are a couple great stores in Victoria these days.

ProReef 12-14-2010 06:59 PM

Many many thanks

WOW thanks all for your very kind words, we are very proud of our new store and all the hard work and long hours. The plumbing job alone was quite a feat! Not to mention the oodles of feet of wiring. I hope all of you can make it into the new store, as far as the clean livstock tanks...i will espesially say thanks for that i work pretty hard and dilegently on it. When you all get a chance to come in for a looksie, please don't forget to introduce yourselves, its always nice to meet the canrreef reefer/FOWLER members and visitors. Cheers Ronnie.

whatcaneyedo 12-15-2010 03:54 AM

A shuttle bus...what a GREAT idea! I'll run it by Joel. And maybe we could do a store tour to the cow-town shops. It's been years since i've been to the calgary shops. And way back when i really only went to Wai's aquarium across from Peters drive in. Is he still there?

Aqua-Digital 12-17-2010 08:16 PM

Tell Joel I will do a Saturday shift if he coughs up for the flight ticket ;)

Not meaning anything bad here... I find colors and the layout quite appealling and relaxing. Kinda like a boutique atmosphere. Very nice!!! Nothing was being referrence to calgary stores in a bad way for how they run... All stores here are quite clean, but I find all of them quite cramped and crowded, and somewhat unorganized. I hope this explains things. I just think a nice store can make a shopper feel good and therefore maybe spend more (Just speaking from past experience).

good work on the nice look! good use of color and space.
