Green Zoanthids
 

I bought a nice rock with about 80 of these green zoanthids polyps last year. Unfortunately, my fish ate most of them. Since that fish has been moved, a few polyps have regrown.

Now that I got my eyes on them again, it looks like there are the same as the Green apple zoos from Canadianreef... are they???

Yeah, they look the same to me. I didn't get them from there if that's what you wanted to know. Man, I wish I didn't lose 95% of them.

I actually bought another zooanthid rock 2 days ago which has 3 types of zoos on them. There are a few of those same green ones, some orange ones, and some orange/green ones.

Yeah, that's what I thought, I've already got them :mrgreen: and not from Canadianreef either. They look WAY better in person :cool: .

Here's mine. The pic doesn't show the true color of these polyps. The centers and outer rims are a nice bright yellow and the green is a nice neon green color.

I have 4-110w VHO's, run on WH7's. 3-03's and one 10K Aquasun. IMO it looks better and it MAY be a little more natural for my LPS & Softies.

BTW- my zoo collection just went up by 7 :mrgreen: . I've got about 25-30 different types now.... DAMN ZOO MANIA :redface: :cool: :rolleyes: :mrgreen: :lol: . Guess were gonna have to swap when your in town eh? :razz: :mrgreen:.

Yeah, them are the ones. They've been moved around a few times, but now they've found their spot the growth rate is starting to take off :mrgreen: .

I rarely see anything decent in the stores. Try Canadianreef.com or harass some local reefers :mrgreen: . Also, it really helps to have some to trade!!! :mrgreen:

I bought another zoo (orange) colony at Big Al's yesterday. So I've bought 2 colonies this week. Trying to catch up to Mak but everytime I get 1 new type of zoo, he gets 3. :biggrin:

I've seen those colonys at Big Als, they are the same Walt Smith Polyps that Wendell has/had. I just NEED those pure bright orange ones, which I'm getting in about a month along with some others :mrgreen:

Mak's green zoos came off of a piece of live rock I picked up last year. It didn't look like much when I got it but the eventually a few of the bright green guys appeared. There must be close to 80 on the rock now. Once the get going they grow really fast. The rock is pretty porous so its difficult to pry them out of the holes without damaging them but I'll try to see how many I can get off and mount for future trades.
