I dont think you give yourself enough credit. Very neat. Congrats.

Congratulations Ken!!! Herbert's darling and mom and dad are gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the sweetie grow up. I hope you'll post progress pics. Maybe one day one of Herbert's future sibling's would make a beautiful addition to my reef to make friends with my sweetheart snowflake

I love it!!! Congrats! That's a huge deal.

Just happy to see the parents actually happy in their tank.
They were my first "Marine" fish in the hobby. Took months just to get them here. Now just need to get them in the mood again. Ken - BWA |
"Herbert" ?? -Seriously !?!?
-You want him to get picked on by the other fish at school ? (sorry, couldn't resist). |

Just think, the next batch will be a lot smaller than him, so he should be the bully. Ken |
|
Awesome Ken!!! Good for you.
|
Herbert is soooo cute..:)
When I came into work today I had a couple of customers talking about Herbert.Who's Herbert? I had no idea who they were talking about...When I finally realized it was Ken's fish,it made me laugh.
Yeh for herbert..Hope the little guy makes it and hopefully we can find a home tank @ BlueWorld for when he grows up. If Ken can get one baby clown to live, hopefully more will be on the way. Welcome Herbert from all us Staff @ Blueworld. |
Congrats Ken! Boy is he cute! Haha.
I love how he is swimming in a sea of rotifers/zooplankton in the vid! |
Just a quick update on Herberts 3rd week.
He was looking a bit lonely, so I picked up a few tankmates for him. A couple of 4 week old clowns to add to his home, and a ultra small GBTA. Pics will be up later. Ken |
Ooooh, very nice Ken! Good job! It takes awhile for the fish to get the hang of it, and then awhile for you to get the hang of it! :D

Paitence is a virtue, in my case its a curse...
Can you spot Herbert in his first day at school? Thanks Doug, he's a lot happier. http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pictures/herbert1.JPG http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pictures/herbert2.JPG http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pictures/herbert3.JPG |
My gosh he's beautiful! He looks happy.
|
I wish I had their introduction on video.
He was about 10" away, and one of the other clowns approched him and ran off. Throughout the night, he moved 1" closer every hour. This morning he was 1" away, but ran when they looked over. When I got home, he was in school. Cute as hell. Ken |
Hehe, he looks happier at school. :)
|
Herbert
Herbert's new friends were maybe ment to be. Wish them a long and growing relationship. Way to go Ken.
Doug  |
Awe, I think you should keep this thread going, I'd love to see him grow and develop.

Three week update...Herbert-TV
Herbert and his schoolmates are doing well, he's kinda smaller than them but they don't descriminate. http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pict...bert112010.JPG He's on dry food now, actually prefers it over the BBS in the tank. While Herberts in school, his parents will be moving into a new home a 24x24" cube I got from Dawn, thanks Dawn. Still the Black-Sheep in the school. Ken - BWA |
|
I know that it's Dory who says it (don't hate, you all watch Finding Nemo and love it)....but he's TOTALLY going "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" in that video
|
Latest video of Herbert, day 27.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YVCOQnsyPI Small GBTA was added to grow out tank, Herbert's step-brothers are looking at it already. Ken - BWA |
Herbert finds a Nem
Only 30 days old, and he's found his BTA. Who says captive bred clowns won't got to an anemone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUnGLNsSJ3A Too cute. Ken - BWA |
Weekly Update:
Sorry it's a bit late... Herbert is doing well, the surrogate school is not picking on him. He's still the runt of the litter though, but then again, they are a week older than him. Pics up later. Ken - BWA |
Latest Update...Been hectic for the last few weeks.
Herbert and his bro's are doing well, still in the 2.5 grow tank about to enter the 5 Gal. HB is now about 1cm in size. Still the runt of the school. Ken |

I have been neglecting this tread for a bit lately, just busy a heck.
Herbert is approximatly 1cm in length now, as for his step-school they are twice his size. I am assuming it is because he is a Darwin unlike his school, and his groth rate is much slower than them The have been moved into a 5gal grow tank for the time being. will upload picture when I get a chance. Ken - BWA |
**Update** and next generation
Herbert is actually 5 months old today,
He is doing quite fine with his step-brothers, and thriving. After a lot of thought, I shold have named him "Nemo", I know it is quite a cliche' but he was the only surviver of his brood too.. http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pict...2211-posse.JPG Now the latest news.... Herbert is going to be a big brother. March, 24, 2011 - Spawning http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pict...31711-eggs.JPG March 27, 2011 - Dad's watching over them http://www.blueworldaquatic.com/pict...32211-eggs.JPG The parents are weird, they spawn for 3 batches, then stop for months. This is the 2nd brood in a week. Ken |
Awesome Ken! I still think Herbert and a new sibling need to come home with me :mrgreen::mrgreen:
