Pic of my Favourite
This is definately my favourite piece. Super fast grower, great colour.. And to think, I lost nearly 1/3 of it in the little crash.. The blue stag in the bottom right is coming along nicely too!

Any idea of an ID? It looks like a staghorn but I've never seen of a yellow staghorn before, very cool!
|
omg thats one nice piece
best acro i've seen |
Adam, if you like it so much, I can sell you some frags of it!!
It has recovered well from the wine "incident"!! |
Hey Adam, That is a killer piece. Good pic too!! I have a hell of a time capturing a good shot of mine. Hey are you able to get purple polyps on it?
|
Adam, that's a great piece and a better shot, you must have hid that one in the closet when I was by in the summer
I also like that really bright  look'n coral just above it   |
thanks guys..
Brad, I actually made a frag off mine already.. Jamie, it has puple polyps for the first cm after each axial corallite. Pretty cool.. Wish I could capture that.. I'll try zooming in! I wonder if Marc still has the massive mother colony of this.. |
Nice piece adam. I had that piece too and could only see purple poylps on the ends too.
It's a beauty coral definatly one of my favorites. |
Very nice! I'll have to find me some of that one day

Heres Mommy....(if it works) http://www.islandreef.ca/post/marc.jpg

Now now Brad, I was jesting. Notice the " " ?
But as for the ID, not even an educated guess? My guess is A. yongei? It kind of looks like what people call A. yongei anyways and I was kind of curious if anyone else shared that opinion. Whatever it is, it's nice. |
I'm calm Tony, no worries! No, it isn't yongei, as I have one of those to compare it with. I've rarely ever cared about species, because I know that it's just a 1 in 400 guess almost all of the time. Maybe marc has a guess?

looks amazing. Where can I buy one :)

Brad, I have looked over that site many times and that's definately the closest match.. Might not be right, but it's close!

You guys are funny but really green acro is the best description. I don't even bother with ID's either.
Using colours is how I describe the tricky ones. |

what color is it with just 10000K lights Adam?
Steve |
Adam, I'm not always able to get the purple polyps, but when it's happy they'll show up on the axial polyps and the first few radial's.
Steve, In my tank that coral is a wicked yellow no matter what light it's under. When I first saw that coral in Marc's tank I thought it was the wickedest coral. Never mind the color it was wicked huge too. Marc get that tank going buddy so you can grow that bad boy to it's former glory. |
Cool.
