WTB: Octopus Frogspawn
Looking for a few heads of the octopus frogspawn. Let me know if you have some.
Here's a link to what it looks like http://www.flickr.com/photos/tyrsdomain/395026858/ Not looking for the regular frogspawn, pictured in top left corner. Thanks. |
Frogspawn
Looks like a regular frogspawn to me... is there something I am missing? Top left looks more like a hammer to me.
I have one identical... but much much deeper red. Very nice piece. Mine went through some sort of decline recently and I lost about 8 heads. |
If you want something slightly different Oceanic Corals has a beautiful orange frogspawn. It's a really unique colour.

If only they had the purple one that i've seen popping up in the states. That's UNIQUE. |

You should have no issues finding someone with one in your area. Very common. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...519&pcatid=519 Appears "Octopus" is just another name for the "regular" frogspawn. |
let me know if you find a source, been looking for some myself. If its that common in Alberta you are lucky, only know of a couple of pieces here in BC.

Really? It is hard to find? Any shop in town carries them... in a variety of colors. http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/s...duct_ID=C-5040 http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/s...duct_ID=C-5060 I am not sure how far from JL you are... but if push comes to shove.... they seem to have a couple varieties. |

I have both and these two are definitely not the same. http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...5/IMG_2808.jpg http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...5/IMG_1471.jpg |

I cant tell the difference!!! LOL! Nice pieces! Look the same but one being huge the other not so huge! |
I believe there are 2 types. I have one just like yvr75 on the bottom pic and it is a wall type of skeleton with bigger tips. I think the pic on top is a branching type. Too bad I can't frag mine, otherwise I'd ve sold you some as it is getting too big for my tank.
|
I k now which one your talking about. I saw 2 or 3 at King Eds yesterday. $50 each I think. 3-4 heads each piece. I am looking for frags of that too, but haven't seen any around except in the shops.
|
If you guys are still looking I think my frogspawn is the type your looking for. I can add a pic this afternoon if anyone is interested.
