frag party at my house!!! all are welcome
 

after some unfortunate events have gone down its led me to realize i need to be more social and experience more things with friends:) so i want to host a frag party at my house there will be a bbq and drinks all of which i will provide, any reefer who wants to come can just pm me and ill send you my address.i dont have kids and im thinking this ones just for us adults that way we can all hang around worry free and not watch our mouths:0

id like to do a couple things maybe everyone bring a frag and well do a blind swap where you reach into a bucket with bags and a blindfold on and take out a frag and you get whatever someone brang??

id like some ideas from canreefers about fragpartys theyve had in the past and things theyve done if someone can add to this??


i live in edmonton close to west ed mall so anyone who wants to come can and its somewhat close to all others in the city:):)

finally id like everyones opinion on whats a good time..this weekend or next...friday or sat...evenings or daytime???

ideally im thinking sat night start around 5 ish have a bbq get some drinks into us and play some frag games:) ill provide a nice doorprize coral for whoever comes something worth taking home...all you need to do is show up:):) thanks all i hope to hear some feedback even if you cant make it:):)

this is a really cool idea. the blind frag swap is nifty as well. if it is next week end id probably be in for this.

i think it is too and its too overdue i have a large house and big yard, firepit ,lots of good tunes even if i have to play them myself lol and would love to host one, many canreefers have been to my place already so im hoping to see some new faces plus the ones who i know already:) like i say all are welcome and im sure it will be a good time:):) plus drinks and food are on me you cant beat that:)

Sounds like the old reef meet days(2nd time i said that this week).....this weekend doesn't work for me long weekend....wedding in vermillion on sat and a car show in Red Deer sun & mon

true it is the long weekend never thought of that humm i think most will have plans so lets say the following weekend the 11th i think ,give everyone time to come then:):)

might be fun, missed the frag fest, but its still nice to put faces to names.. and perhaps find a few more frags for the tank.

well then we have to do it, no ones had one yet the summer and its almost over you dont even need to bring a frag just show up and meet some faces everyone here will be new faces to me for the most part and ill open my home to those in anyway i can:):) im gettin excited now i may go buy a couple tubs for bobbing for coral:):)

plus im gonna give away a nice large coral to one lucky reefer i even got one in mind ill give out a number at my door and draw sometime in the night:):)

remember anyone is welcome and can bring anything they like and i will get lots of drinks and food for everyone:):) just before that night ill post a whos coming list:):) hope to see a lot of faces:)

Great idea! I hope to drag my VERY reluctant hubby along. Don't know if he can stand the morning breakfast and the evening party, but we'll try. Didn't get to meet you at the Frag Fest, so hopefully everyone will be sure to wear name tags this time around. Lenny.

Sounds like a lot of fun unfortunately I have family in town that weekend. So since I'm already going to the breakfast I think an evening party would be pushing it too. If they weren't coming I'd show up though.

That is a pretty nice idea,i live on the west end too.....it is hard to meet new people nowadays,work rules my life with little extra left over so i admire your effort.

sounds like a good reason to show up seth:) and thats why i want it to run into the night so if someone is working or has plans they can still come regardless of how late it is and im in the same boat always working so now its time to meet people and have fun:):)

so far i got over a dozen confirmed comings so its def on and its going to be a fun night:):)

You can have a little area segregated in the back yard for the newbies like me who are still trying to figure out the basics...lol

hey all thought id send an update ive been busy this week sorry but all is still a go for the frag party i am going to be going on friday to get lots of driks and food and i hope to see everybody on sat ill post and pm my address to all on saturday and remember all are welcome the more the merry who knows this could be a regular get together for us e towners:):)

well its gettin close just a day away then its time to unwind with some friendly reefers:) tonight im going to grab lots of bbq' ables and tomorrow im getting drinks/alcohol theres supposed to be quite a turnout so i hope lots come even if you dont know anyone come anyways , if this goes well i may throw one of these every month or so:):):)

Thanks Reefwars for hosting the first ever Frag Party! It was nice seeing and meeting everyone there. Lots of fun, great laughs, and good people. Too bad we had to leave early, hope we didn't miss too many fun-happenings, things were just beginning to get super-interesting when our boy asked to get a ride home.....:neutral:
Definately something to consider doing again, maybe once every two months??:mrgreen:
Even Tim had fun. Wouldn't miss the next one for sure! Lenny.:lol:
