LF peacock Mantis shrimp

Looking for a larger mantis, up to 4 ". Prefer a peacock, but will look at others, depending on coloration.

Roger's Aquatic in Surrey has a good sized one right now.

peacock mantis

anybody got one for sale or know where there is one?

Aqua Man 09-01-2010 03:06 AM

Ya in your sump is a good idea, not sure if it would be suitable in your tank as they will decimate everything and I mean everything, my friend has a smaller one that came with some rock, and it just ate his Cinnamon Clown, and attacked a few hermit crabs... they are currently walking around with half a shell. I am sure if he could catch it you could have it but we live in Alberta.

i'm not putting him in my reef tank. He'll be in my fowlr tank with my humu humu and spotted puffer.

found one. Convinced Roger at Roger's aquatics to sell me his pet.
It's in my tank now. Cool animal.

sorry to say this but the trigger and puffer are gonna make him a quick meal

mantis

should be ok. the trigger is only about 2.5 inches and the puffer is about 3 inches. The peacock mantis is about 5 inches long and is already defending his territory.

one of the three will end up dead, not a very smart thing and a cruel thing to put those 3 in the same tank.....should have let someone else buy the mantis and give it a good home that isnt certain death

you want to buy it then $ 1000 bucks for you. By the way, everything and everybody dies. Just a matter of luck when it's your turn.

You should talk, saw your post on a mantis and crabs in a 29 bio. You put clown gobies in there? might as well be an expensive snack for your mantis and hairy crabs. Fools shouldn't preach.
