My 144G Half Circle
I gave some of my corals a trim today. Figured my fish need a little more swimming room. Just a real basic point and shoot Kodak. Anyone have any tips on adjusting the settings? Anyways, I like the way my tank looks now so thought I'd share some pics.

Nice and neat, looks great

Nice pictures Bill. I'm not sure what your camera has but with mine I play a lot with the ISO scale(?) to make my photos brighter or darker. Other than that I'm just lucky that my camera has an underwater setting that automatically adjusts the white balance for me... maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Full tank shot? Looks really nice.

This is such a cool shot! Lot going on with the landscape. I agree we need a FTS for sure.
|
Nice! I likey.

Thanks for the comments. I'll take a FTS on the weekend, work has me away from the tank while the lights are on this week. This tank is really hard to take a pic of due to the shape and plus my camera kinda sucks. The aquascape is kind of one big cave in the middle that does'nt seem to show up in pics. Pretty pumped about getting Vortech this week.

Looks good! Haven't seen it for a bit.
as for your camera if is a just a point and shoot turn your house lights on that are in the back ground and turn your settings to the image that looks like a guy running. That should help remove some blur created by the fish... Cheers |
Did some aquascaping. Not the look i was going for but this is how it ended up.

I really like your liverock in general. Tonga branch right? I dont think it matters what a person does with it. Rock with that much shape to it will always look good.
That purple acro is going nuts! Mine is growing really fast too. Its funny how some specimens just do that while others barely do anything... |
Ya it's tonga rock. I changed the rocks around to try and get rid of those clove polyps. I could'nt scrape them off nor did I have enough epoxy to coat them (too many). I put them upside down, I noticed they were'nt growing in the shaded areas. Hopefully that and the sandbed eventually kills them off. My fish sure like having more swimming room. Ya I wish some of my other sps would grow as quick as the purple acro.

No problem. He looks great in there. Seems pretty happy. Were those taken with the halides off?? He usually never moved about too much with the lights on. Surprised to see him out and mingleing.
