What frozen food do you buy?
Just doing a short survey on what frozen food everyone currently uses; also, what frozen food(s) do you want but do not have access to? |

Sorry that my poll sucks but I can't figure out how to edit it, I should have made it so you could select more than one option as well as listing more types and brands. I mainly want to talk frozen and see what people are looking for...
Thanks! |
Your poll only allows for one to be selected. I buy all three of these.
Hikari San Francisco bay Piscine Mysis |
I could have used multiple choice on this one. I voted Piscine Mysis because I feed more of that than anything else. I also feed frozen Cyclopeeze, and also some of the different frozen varieties of Ocean Nutrition and San Francisco Bay foods. :)

You could delete this thread, and try again if you want before too many people answer. I don't think you can edit to be multiple choice after you have submitted it.

frozen foods
i like to make mine all from scratch-i make brine shrimp every day, roterfers before a brine shrimp got in and ate all the rotifers(got one huge brine shrimp out of that one)will be trying cocapeds when my 220 gets up and running again, fresh prepared seafood and a mixture of various nories and dried foods mixed together, also three types of phyto plankton
|
PE mysis (by far the most nutritious).
Ideally, looking for two sizes of PE mysis (small & regular). Some Hikari mysis & bloodworms. |
While you are doing your research, there's a company that is near where PE is and sells Mysis of exactly the same quality for around 20% cheaper price. ;-D
|
Pe Mysis Ftw!!
|
PE mysis, SF Bay and Hikari
|
I try to buy all of the above. It irks me that I can't get frozen Cyclopseeze anymore anywhere around my area, so anyone who could sell me that stuff would be my HERO.
Although it's too late to save my G. ventilana - it turns out that it was relying fairly heavily on frozen cyclops-eeze feedings and no other food would interest it. I'm doubly irked because I doubt I'll ever find another G. ventilana like that. |

Thanks for the suggestion, we are looking at some additional options for frozen foods! We will be looking into getting a few of these newer foods now available, the Euphasia Pacifica that Red Coral is advertising is also a good product and worth the money for those looking to buy food in Calgary. We do have this same bulk frozen Euphasia Pacifica Plankton available in various sizes caught locally. How many people actually order frozen food and have it shipped? We have not added frozen food to our website but will consider it if there is enough demand for it...... We are looking at adding; Frozen Cyclop Eze in the bars. Piscine Mysis Aquatic Treasures Mysis Euphasia Pacifica Plankton And a few other new brands that local distributors are getting in. |

We now have stock of the Ocean Plankton in store, this stuff is really good and the fish love it. Thanks to Red Coral for getting it out to us so quickly. O.C. |
I use the Aquatic Treasures as PE isn't available over here. I also use hikari spirulina brine to supplement and the hikari mysis when I go on vacation (I like the cubes and am too lazy to make them myself).
|
I make my own food but use everything you've listed, and whatever good quality & good priced products I can find. My hardest to source ingredient is always Selcon for the record.
