8' tanks

For anyone who has an 8' tank could you please post a full tank shot? If you could include dimensions and volume that would be great. If you're not so keen on showing your tank off to the world, you could always PM or email me. shambhala_5@hotmail.com

Thanks! :)

Holy crap MrFish!! That's huuuuge! We are putting French doors in the kitchen to the patio, so I could get a tank that big in the house, but we only have 1100 sq ft, so I would have to sell the couch to make room. Hmmm....good idea!! But seriously, wow I would love to have a huge FOWLR like that, absolutely stunning Angels you have there! :D

Awesome tanks guys! Thanks for sharing.

If any mods see this, I meant to post in the Pictures forum. Please feel free to move the thread.

Well I don't mind having the smallest volume 8' tank, as long as I am in the 8 footer club. Awesome 8's guy's, truly impressive.

my 375

This tank is fresh but it is still 8'. The tank is 96x30x30, I wish I would have gone 36 wide and only 24 high. The 30 high makes it hard to clen the back with out takeing out around 50 gals of water.

If it makes you feel better, mine will be close to your size Grizz. I'm just trying to decide if a smaller volume 8' tank will still look good. I really want an 8' tank, but I don't want a huge water volume. Once I decide, I can get to work on collecting hardware. :D

The Grizz 07-18-2010 09:30 PM

I really like the size of mine as it is easy to reach to the very back bottom of the tank. I did not enjoy having to get out a step stool and get into my 155 BF up to my arm pits. But if I was ever to built my own 8' I think I would go 24"w x 24"D.

Myka 07-19-2010 02:15 AM

I don't want anything deeper than 24", and no wider than 18" because our house is pretty small, and too wide just juts out into the room too much. It wouldn't work in our space. I haven't decided height...something 18-24"...not sure yet.

Wow two different tanks with mh on the end and t5 in the middle. Don't see that often and voila we have 2!
