My Australian Pink Tipped Gold Torch? http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...uly1201012.jpg |
Love the gold torch Myka, would love to see one in person as those don't come to Canada very often. Would have to say my 2 show pieces are my Green Formosa (Thanks to Lobsterboy) and my Red/ Teal Indo Scoly (From Elite).
The Formosa didn't grow up in my tank but the scoly went from being 4 inches to larger than a dinner plate when fully expanded. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/1171/formosa.png Levi |

I've been trying to get my hands on Sponge Bob. :p Nice piece indeed, and a good size too.
|
Found it at J&L it was sitting in there tank for about a month. It looked all lime green under there lights. I too have the Gold Aussie Torch and it is definetly a nice torch. I bought that at J&L also. I have a couple Aussie Prizms that are nice as well.

I've had it since Nov. '08. I can only take a little credit for its size. Marie had it for years and when it got too large she gave it too me. It has grown quite a bit since I've had it though. |
|
Wow that's huge how big was it when you got it?? Very nice:)

However I kind of cheated, as I lost the coral a couple years ago, either from a pin cushion urchin mauling it or an alk. problem. Either way it got an infection. It was 12 yrs. old when I lost it. You never said present or not, so I posted it anyways. I use to be a pretty good aquarist. Not sure what the heck happened. :lol:I cant keep any corals alive long enough or sell them anymore to have nice pics like you guys. Hope it was ok to post it in your thread. |

Nice piece Marlin! I have the same Meteor Shower Cyphastrea, but mine is much lighter colored I think it gets too much light.
Thanks Kien! My gold Torch is the first I ever saw, but since I bought it I have seen similar pieces for sale at Blue World in Edmonton and Bayside here in Saskatoon. Mine is more gold than the other pieces I have seen, but maybe they would color up. As far as I know they only come in on Australian shipments. Here is one of my nicest SPS. It is a Candlelight Acro. It is EXTREMELY difficult to care for. It very easily becomes a big brown blob (with great PE lol). This pic is from Sept '09 when I first bought it. It slowly faded into a brown blob. It is just recently starting to look like it may color up once again. I have my fingers crossed that I can post an update photo in the future that will be much more impressive. :D http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...ept1020094.jpg |
I just got these Blue Magician's.. they havent quite opened yet but OMG are they purdy :) I hear there might be one more small colony for sale!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...IMG_0396-2.jpg |
Those Magicians are sweet. I had a 3 polyp colony that slowly melted in a week. It was so sad. :'(
