Anyone know how much the new found Gramma dejongi costs?

Probably a lot but
I sure like the looks of this newly discovered gramma

If these are anything like their more common counterparts, the should be able to be captive bred with relative ease.

Give it a year or two (or 4) and these will be farily common and much cheaper.

Gorgeous fish.

Looks like my yellow assessor and one of my grammas had a baby.

Though I may have to ask Jeff or Rene at JL if they can get these in...
it might be worth setting up a deepwater system, I'd hate to stick such a beautiful fish into a reef tank where the intense lighting would proabably cause it much undue stress.
wow.

I have to agree with you gobytron. It will be years before we will be able to afford this one.

Sadly we may never see the likes of this beautiful fish as it resides in the Gulf of Mexico, and well.. We all know how things are going down there these days

Hi there,

The pictures were made in my nano-tank.
The fish are doing well, always upfront and very friendly to other fish.
Here some new pictures last sunday made by Dietmar Schauer from Germany.

Greetings,

Not that its a laughing matter but I thought this was funny. (Should also note that this is not a real graph)

Welcome Paul.

Would it be rude to ask what those specimens cost you?

WOW! Strange shape to the eyes but a beautiful fish! Hopefully in a year or two when I get a bigger tank I will look into these and see if they are captive bred.
