Reef Network Frag Swap and Auction
 

OK I think it's official.

This years event will be a combination of swap meet and silent auction.
all sellers should contact me via PM to let me know you need some space to sell.
For those who want to submit auction frags I will need exact coral frag types and amounts as soon as you can.


Date: June 27th 2010
Time : 11:00am until everything is sold (this usually happens fast)
Location : Seahorse Fanatic's house (exact location will be posted here closer to the event)

many of us canreef members are just as fascinated with freshwater aquatics as with reef keeping (just take a look at forum here dedicated to freshwater keeping). to stir up most everyones' enthusiasm why not encourage people to also bring in freshwater equipments, livestocks, plants etc and make the swap party a roaring success. i myself for one will be hunting for treasures you might be bringing in.

Give me a shout later when you guys get a chance. I'll send up a few things if you like so you can auction off and use the proceeds for your expenses.

By All means I think it was the first swap meet we encouraged the Fresh water people to come out. Unfortunately not a lot came. But by all means we can do that

Some fw BCA members are coming and they will probably be buying/selling some fw stuff as well.

I have both fw & sw, so I'll have some fw plant packs for sale & probably some fw equipment, etc.

I might have a few small frags this time. not much space in a 10 gal nano to do frag work in. I have a Pink Riccordea, a piece of neon yellow finger leather, and 4 frags of orange/green lobophyllia [robusta?] (one x3 heads, one x2, and two singular heads.

I should be there as well. Probably no frags this time around. Is there an exact address for the swap yet, and will the auction/swap begin at 11am or a little later to allow everyone to scope out whats for sale?

I'll be there this weekend with a ton of stuff, Just tore down my 75G. I have everything including HQI pendants, powerheads, wavebox, calcium reactor, uv, ro 100gpd, heaters,too much to list.

I will have 5 patio tables available and lots of deck/camp chairs. If you are selling and have a small table, you're welcome to bring it along.

Freshwater & saltwater enthusiasts are welcome to this event. Bring your families if you want. This will be a great chance for you to prove to your spouses that NO you are not so crazy, here's somone crazier about fish & corals. I have 8 tanks to view (from a 3 gallon cherry shrimp tank to a 210g mixed reef) for almost 750g total volume.

My wife Irene will be making some Malaysian food (probably some spicy noodle soup dish & maybe curry chicken on coconut milk rice) as well as bbqing up some weiners & smokies if anybody wants to buy an inexpensive lunch on-site instead of taking off for McDs. Pop & juice will also be available.

Start time is 11am & we'll run it till 4:30pm or whatever time everyone leaves.

Bloody thing was fine one day and a pile of goo the next morning. I don't know what happened as there was nothing nearby to sting it and I made sure of that :neutral:

Assuming I don't have to work the weekend again I will be bringing a few green monti cap, orange monti cap, purple digi, green digi and monti confusia frags. I also have a 3 litre zeo reactor with pump I'll bring.

can i go to it i have no frags right now but i would love to buy some all my colonies are to small to frag i fraged them to mutch and no more frags left lol but eny way can i come to the frag thing eny way i need some fragsss

will have some of hardier frags like blue coral, fire corals, mushroom leather,zoas, one or two yellowgreen bubble mushroom with yellow fluorescent bubbles (rhodactis spp but with these yellow pea sized bubbles????). bonus giveaway if you can identify this one (tiny golden coloured individual polyps strung together, was a hitchhiker but is growing rampantly.

Everyone is welcome to come. Can be a buyer, seller, trader, looker:wink:, or just come to hang out & talk.

hehe, I'll be there apparently ... anyone have a purple monster or superman digi to sell? Also interested in high end zoas.

I have for sale several Purple Bonzai/Purple Plasma/Bali Tricolour acro frags made and already encrusting for the swap meet.

I have a small deep purple colony also for sale.

If necessary, I can also frag more off my main colonies.

It doesn't look like the Auction is going to have a huge amount of Corals. Most people appear to be selling in the Swap meet fashion. Nothing wrong with that.
We will still have the Auction. There are 29 corals in the Auction. I will post times and coral names Later today

I will have some chalices, a Aussie prizm , couple frags of rainbow encrusting montie, zoas/palys and a few sps frags mostly yellow tenius .

Okay, I'll add to the list. I'll have some $10 frags of green birdsnest, a nice pink base/red poyp digi and an encrusting monti with red base and pink polyps. Some neon green trumpet coral frags for $5 for smaller ones and $10 for larger ones. Also some superman monti, some really nice Marsall Islands blue bottlebrush acro and maybe one frag of neon green digi and one frag of pink milli. I may also bring a couple of frags of toxic cyphastrea and meteor shower cyphastrea.

For the auction I have a three polyp frag of blue magician paly, pink/purple green eyed aussie prizm frag, Pink with green mouth purple rim chalice, green with yellow highlighted Chalice and a 5 polyped frag of spongebob favia .
