J&L Opened Yet?
 

Will J&L have their grand opening by Nov 1st?

I talked to them on thurs and they thought they were on track to be moved out and ready by nov 1 :)

I guess not, no changes to the web site yet and it's Nov 02.

I went to checkout their new location on Friday Oct-31st. The place is EMPTY. The tile floors are laid down and the counter was set up but no wall or isle shelving or no inventory in boxes laying around.

My best SWAG (Speculative Wild A$$ed Guess) would be Nov-15th or Nov-30th.

The new location is empty?? Then where is all their livestock?? When I was there last weekend (the old store) all of their livestock tanks were moved already and just the dry goods were left to move. You sure you got the right new location?? I can't see them moving everything twice.

Their livestock is in the fish room in the back of the new store. :smile:

That's weird. I just got their newsletter saying that they were open.

When I was at their new location, the doors were locked and all I could do was peek in.

Maybe the rest of the store is already to go and I was looking in a second door? :rolleyes:

I'll have to swing past there on Tuesday and see what is going on.

Were you there today or Oct 31? They were opened today. On Oct 31, they weren't opened.

How close is the new location to the skytrain station?

Right across the street from the skytrain.

I was there on the first - didnt bother to go in because the ryder truck was out front still, door was open but nothing in the front room, no one around...

Oh well, I just wanted to see the new place, so I will stop by later this week when I need more salt :)

The full name of the skytrain station is Production Way. J&Ls is south of that skytrain station and north of the Cosco warehouse (its also on Production way).

I just went there today, but I think it is wise to visit a week (or two) from today. Everything was still in moving boxes!

Yup, Victor is right.

It will take a week or so, to get things properly unpacked and displayed.

I was there today around 6:00pm. The fishroom is coming along real nice, the saltwater is up but the freshwater tanks are still dry.

I really liked checking out the plumbing. With the tanks empty, you can see all the pipes and lines... Give me some good ideas for my setup.
