Group buy from BRS anyone?
 

The Canadian dollar is looking pretty good these days 1.03 CAD = 1.00 USD at the moment and I'm getting a little low on GFO so does anyone feel like taking part in a group buy from Bulk Reef Supply? Edit: According to the information on their site everything will ship to each persons own address so you dont have to have anything to do with Prince George to take part.

Edit: The cut off is Sunday April the 25th at mid night. If 10 or more people are ready to order by then the group order will go ahead.

How about we leave this open at least until next weekend and if there are 10 or more people by then we go ahead. Otherwise we wait longer for the 10 person minimum. If it doesnt look like we'll ever get 10 then the idea gets scrapped and I go to plan B.

I'm thinking about getting a reefkeeper lite, maybe some other stuff.

Is there a minimum order $$? Hows the whole shipping thing $ wise? Doesnt really explain for the group order. Seems pretty reasonable for single orders though.

No minimum spending amount. Group order shipping is to each individual separately by UPS (note: we pay 15% up front rather than a COD at the door). Heavier and larger items cost more to ship but the shipping is fare. You can add an item to your 'shopping cart' and then get a quote on what the shipping cost will be. The advantage of doing this as a group order is that we all get to pay the lowest discounted price for any items we buy without having to order in larger quantities.

I've ordered from BRS twice before. Its like shopping at costco for your reef aquarium! :biggrin:

Both things I really want are out of stock, :sad: BRS dual media reactor and a reefkeeper L1. I guess that makes me out on this one.

It sort of looks like we have four people on board so I guess we need six more. I'm not in a hurry so I'm willing to wait a couple of weeks to see what happens.

Assuming that everyone who has posted in this thread except one is interested we only have 5 people so far.

maybe we'd stand a better chance if we'd try to include our yankee friends from RC. Do you have an account there?
