Orange Sun Coral
 

Hey guys,

I've got an Orange Sun Coral that I really like but unfortunately am having trouble keeping it fed because of my active fish. I have too many fish that are stealing from it and so I'm not sure it's a great coral for my setup.

I am reluctantly putting it up for sale. It has 50+ heads on it and is about 5"x2.5" or so in total footprint.

PM me with an offer. I am in SE Calgary.

Do you have many corals you spot feed, Kien?

1 head dendro, meat coral, brain coral, lobo, bubble coral, two plate corals, two anemones :-)

Not bad, well, sadly it will be going for a fair bit more than $1 haha. Im open for trades as well, by the way. Would love a nice SPS colony such as a large purple orange or blue montipora plate or digitata.

Would also consider a trade for a reactor of some sort perhaps.

haha I won't sell it for less than $40, to be honest. Thats what I paid plus I threw in a green digitata coral, thats what its worth.

You two probably have some nice corals for trade though. Kien, you have a blue or purple digitata plate coral? Both? Or any of those SPS need a pruning?
Id be open for trade if you're serious about it.

I don't have any SPS and all my LPS and Softies are not even close to needing a trim.

Kien would be the better choice if he is willing to do trade's. I would love to have some sun's but you should always go with the best deal you can make.

Do your sun corals open during the day? I find that most sun corals close during the day and open at night. Although some do open during the day. Whereas dendros on the other hand I've found usually open during the day and close at night. There will be and are some that close during the day though.

So far mine seem to open when there is food in the water and they stay open basically until they get their share or a couple hours pass.

So they will definitely open during the day but that seems to be key.

Also, I would consider a trade for a clam perhaps as well.

Also, Kien, I like the look of your orange Montipora Plate, could work that into a trade though Im sure I wouldnt get a very large frag as yours isnt super big yet by the pictures, perhaps Im wrong. Maybe a frag of that and a bit of cash or something? Or a couple frags?

Grizz, if Kien is up for it, I could half the frag? Though I've also had 2 others PM me, one of which beat both of you to the punch and offered me $40 for it? Im in a dilemma...

Kien, could you give me a decent size frag of the coral I posted in the pic for half the sun coral? I could probably frag it so each of you get like 20 heads?

I'd have to give the first person that PMed me a chance too to increase his offer perhaps.

Do what you need to do to get the most out of it and what you want for it dude. I always say that who ever comes first should get first shot. I am not in Calgary until mid-next week anyways. All cool with what ever you do :cool:

I think the guy with the $40 bucks has us beat. Personally I would not want to see that nice colony hacked up. It is a great size, keep it that way.
