Hi Ian, are these the same as NP biopellets that I ordered from you in mid-March?

These pellets are the identical product.

That's great. How long can these be stored if bag remains unopen? Having 5 bags may be last for a year or two years?

As long as the pellets remain dry there is no expiry date. Typically the average sized actual pellet will last between 8-14 months depending on your biological load. The more phosphates and nitrates in your system the faster they will dissolve. In order to keep the same volume of pellets in your system more pellets should be added on a continual basis.

O.C.

As long as the pellets remain dry there is no expiry date. Typically the average sized actual pellet will last between 6-12 months depending on your biological load. The more phosphates and nitrates in your system the faster they will dissolve. In order to keep the same volume of pellets in your system more pellets should be added on a continual basis.

Thanks Ian. I am thinking add a few more bag to my order, so that I can get a free bag. I love these biopellets.

banditpowdercoat 04-02-2010 11:36 PM

Does the purchace have to be all at once? Or will you keep track when we reach the amount, we get free bag?

The purchases do not need to be all at once! We will mark under each customers profile how many bags you have purchased! There are not time limits or expiry dates....

Actually, good timing! I am working on your package pricing right now, should be just a few minutes.

Would this act the same as GFO??

OceanicCorals-Ian- 04-07-2010 03:02 AM

Essentially yes, running the pellets would make GFO redundant. The Pellets also soak up Nitrates that GFO does not, just to name a couple of benefits.

Cameron 04-07-2010 03:03 AM

Good meeting you the other day Ian, I may just have to go for these pellets....first working on getting my Alk and Calc up.

earliris 04-07-2010 03:03 AM

Thanks for the quick response...

One more question: Would you also continue to run carbon?

One more question: Would you also continue to run carbon?

Absolutely! Pellets don't metabolize toxins, heavy metals, tannins, or chemicals from the water. Carbon is important.

Thanks... Just upgrading from my 12g nano to a 50g build. I ask this because i've never replaced the carbon or the ceramic rings since i bought the tank over 2 years ago.

Wow, nice little tank, you will do well with your 50 if your 12 looks that good.

Ian
