The power bar in the side probably quit working if you pull it out and plug everything into another power bar that could be a temporary fix.

Ryanst 03-23-2010 08:28 PM

or your breaker blew

nats 03-23-2010 08:37 PM

i have stray electricity running in the tank i can not turn it back on.

Ryanst 03-23-2010 08:42 PM

are you getting shocked from the tank or is your gfi tripping? you could try only running the pumps and see if you still have stray voltage.

nats 03-23-2010 08:45 PM

im getting a shock with anything that is turned on in the tank. even a separate heater i plugged in.

Ryanst 03-23-2010 08:49 PM

sorry another obvious question but your lights are off right. I had a fixture shock my tank before and i still dont know how it was doing it.

nats 03-23-2010 08:53 PM

If you have some empty salt buckets why not use them to house the livestock until you get the problem sorted out? Cheap plastic rubbermaid container will work as well. A little circulation & heater should be all you need. Live rock can be kept in another container, wrapped in wet newspaper if necessary. What size/model is the Red Sea Max?

Borderjumper 03-23-2010 09:08 PM

think I found someone who has an almost empty tank.. gonna have him call you in a few minutes.. my tank is is absolutly full or I would hold you stuff for you. give me a few minutes.....

nats 03-23-2010 09:09 PM

its the 35 gallon unit. im not going to be able to sort this out intime to keep the live stock.

Borderjumper 03-23-2010 09:09 PM

nats 03-23-2010 11:27 PM

Thanks everyone. Live stock has gone to a new home.

Borderjumper 03-23-2010 11:39 PM

good to hear Natalie. I would be interested in the tank if you want to sell it. PM me if you do.

skwestle 03-24-2010 07:23 AM

I would like to thank Natalie for the live rock and all the livestock. I am very grateful to her and really feel bad about the tank that shorted out. This filled both my 20g and my 14g Nano's. As soon as I put the pistol shrimp and Goby in the tank the excavation started. That shrimp should be called Bulldozer shrimp. The pair of clowns were very friendly right away and the coral beauty is still hiding. All the corals started opening up right away. I never got to see them because the light was out on nats tank. When I put everything in the tank this white stringy stuff was all over my tank. Should I worry about this?
