Ordering Golden Pearls...anybody want in?
 

Thought I'd check with everyone first. I'm going to be ordering some Golden Pearls from http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/golden-pearls.html . Anybody want some as well? The more we order the more we save on shipping.

I'm thinking of putting the order in sometime next week if anybody else wants in or later this week if I'm on my own.

What are the applications for this? I see lots of different particle sizes. Is it for SPS? I couldn't find much info from the website. Maybe I didn't look in the right places but I looked at the Product link and the FAQ.

Looks like people are having good results using the smaller sizes to feed sps directly. I don't really feed my sps anything right now so I'm gonna give it a shot.

I use the 2 smallest sizes of GP. I feed at 1:00am, so I'm not sure who is eating it. I also feed baby brine shrimp;if I were an acro, I'm sure I'd like that!! :-)

I'm going to have them shipped to a friend's house in Bellingham so we'll save on shipping and avoid the dreaded UPS brokerage fee.

Currently the shipping looks like this (US funds) and we'd split it evenly:

UPS Ground: $8.47
UPS 3 Day Select: $11.36
UPS 2nd Day Air: $15.32
UPS Next Day Air: $32.11

It's up to you guys how quick you want it, but let's not go for the next day air please :razz:

Also, if I can avoid it, I'm going to try to get away without paying tax when I cross the border but we'll probably end up having to pay it :mad:

Yeah I'm thinking good ol' UPS Ground too. Cheapest and I'm not in a huge rush.

FYI...I just got an email now saying that UPS has received the shipment. I guess they just shipped it out today. I'm guessing it won't be here until next week or something but I'll keep everyone posted.
