Easier to use and more accurate than chemical test kits Adaptation of Standard Method 4500-P E Accuracy 4% ±0.04 ppm (mg/L) of reading 0.04 ppm (mg/L) resolution (250 points) Large, easy to read digits Auto shut-off.

Dedicated to a single parameter Designed to work with HANNA's powder reagents Uses 10 mL glass cuvettes. Small Size, Big Convenience Weighing a mere 65 g (2.3 oz.), the Checker®HC easily fits into the palm of your hand or pocket.Use for quick and accurate on the spot analysis. Single button operation: Zero and Measure Operated by a single AAA battery. Ideal for Natural, waste and drinking waters.

ACCURATE AND AFFORDABLE PHOSPHATE MEASUREMENT
Orthophosphates are found in natural and waste waters. They are commonly added to drinking water as a corrosion inhibitor.

The instantaneous analysis of orthophosphate by colorimetric determination provides rapid results using a standard analysis technique. The HANNA HI 713 Checker®HC bridges the gap between simple chemical test kits and professional instrumentation. Chemical test kits are not very accurate and only give 5 to 10 points resolution while professional instrumentation can cost hundreds of dollars and can be time consuming to calibrate and maintain. The HANNA HI 713 Checker®HC is accurate and affordable. The HI 713 Checker®HC portable handheld colorimeter features a resolution of 0.01 ppm (250 points) and 4% ±0.04 accuracy of reading.

The HI 713 Checker® HC uses an adaptation of Standard Method 4500-P E. The contoured style of this Checker®HC fits in your palm and pocket perfectly and the large LCD is easy to read. The auto shut-off feature assures the battery life will not be drained if you forget to turn it off. The HI 713 Checker®HC is extremely simple to use.

First, zero the instrument with your water sample. Next, add the reagent. Last, Place the vial into the HI 713 Checker®HC, press the button and read the results. It’s that easy.

I just got off the phone with Hanna Canada, the item is so new that they barely know about it; however, Canadian pricing, availability, and reagent accessories prices have been promised to me by Monday of next week.

The Meter retails for $40.00 U.S. so I am imagine it will be somewhere in the range of $40.00 - $50.00 dollars. I will know more about this once CDN pricing has been set.

wisesam 03-02-2010 06:55 PM

I am interested but depends on pricing as well.

Ron99 03-02-2010 06:57 PM

I'm interested but I want to see what the reagent costs are as that will affect total cost of ownership :)

OceanicCorals-Ian- 03-02-2010 07:04 PM

~ Update
Correction....

The Reagents are exactly the same reagents used for the more expensive Hanna Phosphate Photometer. 125 of these can be purchased for about $30.00 U.S.

Here is a Reef Central thread dedicated to this tester.........

ottoman 03-02-2010 07:31 PM

I am interested.

Marlin65 03-02-2010 07:40 PM

I will take one and a box of reagents.

JHC 03-02-2010 07:49 PM

Don't need 125 reagents. Will never use them before they expire.

Just wondering if they have smaller quantities or if any body would split a box
$10 for 41/42 tests split 3 ways?

Reefer Rob 03-02-2010 07:56 PM

I'm interested in one, and a box of 25 reagents.

25 Reagents are about $10-$12

mseepman 03-02-2010 08:10 PM

I would be in depending on the final price...sometimes to "Canadianize" something doubles it's cost. Plus I would want to get about 25 regents as well.

Haloreef 03-02-2010 08:34 PM

Phos

Sign me up! I hate test kits! Probably why I can't remember the last time I tested my water!?!

The price will be good, we will obtain them from the U.S. if the CDN pricing is not attractive enough for us..... We are crafty.

banditpowdercoat 03-02-2010 09:48 PM

Count me in if there close to that price :D

Lance 03-02-2010 10:44 PM

I want one plus the reagents.

Canuckgod420 03-02-2010 10:54 PM

What's shipping to Edmonton?

Shipping would likely be in the $10-$15 dollar range.....

whatcaneyedo 03-02-2010 11:41 PM

I need another fish tank gizmo like I need another hole in the head but I may get one. If the price + shipping is less than what you will normally retail it for I will probably buy one. But if its cheeper for me to buy one in person at a later date and not pay for shipping I'll likely do that instead.

Canadian 03-03-2010 01:48 AM

I'm in for one and 25 reagents.

Ian 03-03-2010 04:22 AM

Count me in meter and reagents need a ph meter as well:biggrin:
