LF two 24 inch lights Calgary

I have a 5 ft tank and a 4 ft fixture. Light seems to be okay but I am just wondering if anyone has two 24 inch fixtures for sale.

someone must have a five foot light in their closet

I did not realize this when I bought my 5 ft tank but apparently it is quite the custom size. Lights jump from 4-6 ft in most cases. Maybe try a couple of pendants or I know they have some cheap mH 5 ft fixtures on ebay.

Before I upgraded to the 125 I saw 4 or 5 five footers, but not since lol

You're looking for a rare thing... T5 60" are gonna cost you an arm and leg for bulbs, and because of that very few retailers carry them as ordering 60" T5 bulbs typically requires the retailer to order a full skid which again is expensive. Only place I've seen that carries them is Progressive Reef and its the ATI 60" units, so expect to spend big money.

Your best bet is gonna be pendents... or a 24" and 36" combined.

+1.. Two 24 inchers would allow you to spread the light more evenly which sounds like what you're after. That's what I would do :-)

Good idea Kien as it has a center brace, I guess I will look for two 24's

Kryptic4L 02-11-2010 04:10 AM

what are the tank dimension's front to back ?

Toolman 02-11-2010 05:44 AM

it is 22 inches front to back and 24 deep, 125 gallons

Kryptic4L 02-11-2010 06:18 AM

are you looking to go t5, mh or combo ? as t5 may make you pull your hair out with 22" front to back when your looking for a 24" fixture.

Toolman 02-11-2010 10:58 PM

T5 if I can get them with enough wattage or a m/h combo as long as they are a matching pair

Toolman 02-13-2010 01:42 AM

anybody with a pair of decent ftxtures for sale ??

Kryptic4L 02-13-2010 01:56 AM

24 inchers seem hard to come by i know this from months of looking. two threads and a couple of month's nothing really came by. I ended up going with a 6 bulb ati sunpower cost 24" however, it would seem the 60 inch fixture is only a few dollar's more and for your 24 inch depth this might be the way to go.
