Bubble Magus Reviewer required

We are up to our old tricks again :)

We are having fast tracked to Canada a Bubble Magus BM180CS

http://www.bubble-magus.com/images/smallImg_e/994.jpg

Needlewheel protein skimmer
BM180-CS
Capability : 700L-900L(185G -240G)
pump:Aquabee 2000/I
Pump power: 19W, 220V 50Hz /110V 60Hz
air intake : 500L/H
Dimensions: 230*270*520mm(9.0" * 10.6" * 20.4")
cylinder: MAX 7"
Water Level :9.5"-11"

We have the white color for this model .

So the deal is this -

We would like to offer this unit to a Canreef member to review at half the MRSP price listed here.

The Reviewer will get the unit for $199+shipping and tax!!

Now before I get flooded with ME ME ME ME  There is a catch!

I have done this before on RC and we never got a review, someone got a lovely doser for half price and we got no review, so this time ;) the reviewer will pay the $399.00 + taxes and shipping and after 8 weeks of a set criteria of what a review means will receive exactly half back what they paid.

Skeptic thought - "what if you decide the review does not meet what you want"

:) You will get a signed company agreement from us and the payment will be through paypal buyer protected!

So we are looking for a reviewer that is willing to take the time to do a thorough review including setting up, and weekly uptdates for 8 weeks.

Apply within!

i so would if i could afford it :'(

Ron99 02-05-2010 10:43 PM

I would jump all over that if I hadn't recently bought and NAC-6. That and I doubt the 180CS would fit my sump :) A great opportunity for somebody to get a smoking deal on a good skimmer!

burrows14 02-05-2010 10:48 PM

I'd be interested in this I'm already running a nac7 but was thinking about going with the 180 and moving my nac7 to my smaller tank. When is the dead line for this? Is 399+shipping going to be your retail?

Cheers
Ray

Hi

There is no deadline, just when someone meets what we hope for in a reviewer.

Yes $399 CAD NOT USD

mark 02-06-2010 12:41 AM

I'm interested in the BM-T01, is that something we can talk about?

banditpowdercoat 02-06-2010 01:23 AM

I will do it! You know I was askin before and want a CS180. My 150g has a DIY modded recirc skimmer made from a berlin triple pass. so it should be a great improvement! Although I don;t have any higher end skimmers to test it against

Also, My wife, who is not as fish knowledgeable as me, or as tech savvy, takes care of the tank 2 weeks/ month while I'm in camp, so we'll get her reviews as well.

dsaundry 02-06-2010 01:39 AM

I would also be interested as I am going to be setting a new tank up in about a month or so. Let me know. Thanks,

Chowder 02-06-2010 03:03 AM

I am very interested . This is the one I want to buy for my 105 Gallon set up. It has been running for about three weeks now with rock and sand. It is cycling right now. I hope to have my live stock and corals in it over the next month or so depending on the cycle.

Just has to be the skimmer I will be getting!.

tnguyen 02-07-2010 06:28 AM

I've been in the hobby for about half a dozen years now but have not gotten too serious until lately and am not until lately have I started to up grade. Currently running a 180 gal display with a DYI sump out of an 80 gal tank. It's been a year now but still haven't upgraded on my old HOB skimmer. What great timing. I'll love to move to such a state of the art equipment.

dsaundry 02-08-2010 12:13 AM

When are you going to make the decision as to which member will quallify?

banditpowdercoat 02-08-2010 11:16 PM

Bump, when do we get to know the lucky reviewer?

Aqua-Digital 02-08-2010 11:33 PM

Hi,

Many thanks for all your requests, I wish i could offer everyone a skimmer for review, but in the end it came down to the first person to reply in pm and that was

burrows14 (Ray)

Once the skimmer is here, photos will be taken and then forwarded onto ray for him to start the review.

Thanks again to all your responses.

banditpowdercoat 02-08-2010 11:37 PM

You never said nothing about replying in PM!

Reply Within it stated on your post, which, to me, means within THIS thread..

Aqua-Digital 02-08-2010 11:50 PM

Well if it makes you feel any better, he was the first to reply in pm and before any post here also.

banditpowdercoat 03-08-2010 04:49 PM

Any word on how the skimmer's doing?

Aqua-Digital 03-08-2010 04:54 PM

the skimmer has only just been received and is being put on a new set up I think so please give the review a few weeks to kick off

Coleus 03-08-2010 05:05 PM

Well i ordered BM160 from US distributor before there is a distributor in Canada. After a month to let the skimmer breaked in. Now, I am very happy and satisfy with it. Although it made from China, the material is very well built, the design is very much replicate of deltec line and they use the same brand pump (aquabee). For half price of what i would pay for deltec, I can't complain.

Leah 03-08-2010 05:56 PM

Pretty cool Ray

kien 03-08-2010 06:06 PM

It would be nice to have a user review for each model  I personally am interested in the performance of the 220CS, rather than the one being reviewed

burrows14 03-09-2010 03:18 AM

Sorry folks!

I just received the skimmer friday afternoon. My plan was have it run on my new tank at the end of the month but that is now on the back burner after finding out my best friend passed away on the weekend:cry: So I will start the review on my current system hopfully by the end of the week.

cheers
Ray

Coleus 03-09-2010 04:35 AM

Sorry for jumping the gun. I didn't read the full thread

burrows14 03-09-2010 04:43 AM

I currently run the NAC7(atman pump) and love the performance of it. Im really looking forward to the 180 tho ive heard nothing but good things about the aquabee so it should be fun to compare

Ray

I am so so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you will have a good support system. Sending you my best wishes at this very difficult time.

Im very lucky to have the best support system around!

I will unpack the skimmer tonight and should have some pics up by the end of the night. It will be good to take my mind off things for a couple of hours.

Cheers
Ray

Aqua-Digital 03-10-2010 12:26 AM

Kien - progressive reef have paid out for us to get a 220CS shipped direct to them for the store, so will ask Joel to take pics and review it ;)

Ron99 03-10-2010 03:34 PM

Very sorry to hear that Ray. Let me know if you need some help with the tank or something.
