I guess it's a good thing you're not as desperate as I was when selling to you eh =)

Tell me what does 2 x 6100, 1 x 6101, a 7095 and a near new dart gold all for $550 average out to compared to $150 for your much older equipment single stream and controller?

This sale is none of my business but I felt irritated at the double standard and it's been a LONG week.

Good luck with the sale.

I purchased this two weeks ago, just so you all know.
BTW the pump is 6 years old, not 3 as advertised.

Hmm, if you already purchased it, how come it is still available for sale???

lastlight 01-27-2010 05:28 PM

Anytime you see a brown pump you know it's a Tunze relic.

I didn't even want to get into that. My point was more about how if you take advantage of an amazing deal...I think it should be reciprocated to some extent. The price, age and items don't correlate at all with the generosity I showed Thanh. I believe in a little karma and it took a lot for me to post about it. Like I said it's none of my business if I let someone barter me roughly and then they play the selling side so aggressively afterward. It's just that sometimes I don't know when to keep my mouth shut.

funny part is that I offered $150 just for the pump! I am not mad at all in 15 years of this hobby you learn to accomodate certain type of people into all different types of categories, this helps me breath it out!!

to the other response
how would you know if the pumps are 6 years old?!

There is date code on the back of the pump, Third digit is the year, first is series number and second is quarter number). This is according to the Roger V. from Tunze support forum. The pump I got was very worn out, I had to replace the front bearings. I would not call that excellent condition. If I knew it was so old I would not get it. I had a old one before and had to replace the motor block, because the wire coming out gets hard over time and leaks water that destroys it.

if its in working condition and you would like to sell it let me know, under the circumstances I cant really blame the guy since he bought it used maybe he was told the same thing, but if he knew then it would be a different story I just need a working 6100 controllable pump with no headaches since my electrical box went kaboot with water damage and my pump is no longer of use to me!!

ntotheblue 01-27-2010 10:43 PM

to thanhjenn I will consider taking 2 pumps if the price is right and condition stated is honest send me a price on 2 of them!!

bufanyi 01-27-2010 11:01 PM

I know it's hard to tell, but I'll keep it, it's in my grow tank. And I could actually use one more. BTW, please see previous post I had corrected myself on that date code, I was going from my memory. The pump I got is stamped 233.
