Post Padding
 

For those of you who may not have heard the term "Post Padding", it refers to frequent posting by a member in order to increase his/her number of posts. One can achieve this by such trivial postings as: "I love your aquascaping" or "That's a beautiful Acro" or even "Nice Tank". It is possible to increase one's post count by at least ten every day just by using these three phrases.

There may be several reasons for people wanting high post counts. He/she may believe that others may think that he/she is a very knowledgeable aquarist due to the high number of postings. Another possible reason may be that he/she may believe that others will think that he/she is a popular member because of the high number of posts he/she has acquired.

Personally, I don't pay much attention to the number of posts I have acquired, and although you may notice that I have a fairly high number of posts-per-day, I assure that none of them are trivial postings. All my postings are totally relevant to the thread topic, as I am not one for rambling on with insignificant chatter.

I don't normally participate in needless post padding threads. My post count comes from close to 10 years of telling people their tanks look great.

Oh ... crap. Well, whatever, guess I'm in for it now. You guys all have awesome aquascaping BTW.
